Spectacular. A HUGE thanks to LEGO and the CC team for putting this together. It really shows how co-operative LEGO and FOLs can be. Man I can't wait!

It needs to be an entire castle. It can be a small castle. The Castle should have an interior courtyard and not just be a keep. This will help distinguish castles from a tower moc.

If I didn't suck at building I would enter this. The prizes are amazing. Thanks to lego for donating them, and thanks to the admins for not passing it up.

Hey if Bruce enters, can I take his place as a judge?

Okey, the rules say that you cannot enter something show online before March 5th. What if I had a creation, such as a ballista, and then updated and improved it, changing the colors and shape. Would that be alright, even if it was similar to the original?

I always thought they were evil... "Hides from Jojo" Almost any faction can be made to look more evil than another. Use your creativity to show the difference between two factions.

I always thought they were evil too, but a lot of people around here disagree...

Thanks for the prompt response!

I have a question. For the Castle Siege category, can you have a keep instead of a castle, and if not can we just have part of a castle?

Also, for the Tower do we have to have a maiden?

I'll help the admins out here.

Look under submissions in the rules part of the contest and you'll find this sentence:

"You may only submit one entry into each category"

I don't think anybody would fault you for not having a maiden. This is a creativity contest afterall, not a parts contest. Perhaps you could have a heroic skeleton rescuing a skeleton-maiden (another skeleton: they all look more-or-less the same  ) from the clutches of a vile Knight and his hoard of living (as opposed to 'undead') henchmen.

Creativity wins contests, not an over-inflated collection of bricks.

Don't be so sure about that.

I only asked because the description says "Rescue the fair maiden from the clutches of your enemy! Build a good or evil tower with a jail, cage, or locked room." I couldn't be sure.

The wording is pretty interesting-- the categories sound a bit more like descriptions of the products rather than tailored to contest categories. For example, "Rescue the fair maiden from the clutches of your enemy! Build a good or evil tower with a jail, cage, or locked room." It implies that "you" should be doing the rescuing, and that "you" have an enemy.

Note also that "you" are the "good guy" in most of these descriptions... But then check out "Can you hold on to your prisoner before he is rescued?" Suddenly, "you" are the bad guy! I'm picturing kids taking this literally and pitting themselves (in minifig form) against, say, their teachers or the school bully :)
