Modern military MOCs
Modern military MOCs
Is this forum for all non-castle oriented LEGO stuff?
It seems there is lots of interest here in military minifigs etc, and I thought my BS folder might be of interest to some who may have missed it. There are a bunch of modern armored vehicles, non are modelled on real life ones, but many are inspired by varius ones I've seen. I'll post more pix of my minifigs some time soon too.
Thanks
Magnus

Hey,
These are really cool. As with Dark, I particularly like the randomness of your camouflage schemes, as in this pic:

Re: Modern military MOCs
Hello Magnus
I have seen your work on Brickshelf before, and I think it is fantastic. I really like how your vehicles are “modern” and/or “near future”. Keep them coming, they are indeed great.
I am not sure when your soldiers turned into the un-dead, but that is a great touch! I might start using a similar look for some of my modern soldier factions.

It probably stems from the interest in medieval knights and men-at-arms, from the castle theme.Magnus wrote:It seems there is lots of interest here in military minifigs etc...

re Mil MOCs
Thanks for the kind words, all!
I'm glad someone likes the Wolverine Mobile Anti-Armor Missile Launcher, it's never been a favorite of mine. I'm not sure I got the front right, although I do like the turrets I made for it. I should try to build another MOC or two in moutain/arctic camo.
As for the "undead" troops, those are actually meant to be the most aggressive of the Armored Shock Infantry Corps, who get their own fancy scary skull masks. (Remember the worst, biggest, scariest kids at school? Imagine them older, stronger, and nastier; give them guns and body armor; put them in an armored vehicle and let them out close to the enemy to do their thing).

All of those are great. Nice job with the camo.

Like Dark and Bruce I like the camofluage, however I think I like the colors on the white tanks the best.
I like how you are able to fit the men inside and still have operable turrets, that's hard, I know. One of my favortie details is the small machine gun turret on the mule, that's a nice use of hose there.

Good to see someone who also appreciates the Modern and Near-Future military theme!
Although I "color code" my army guys instead of using any camo color combinations.
-Southeast Asia = dark red
-United States = dark blue
-China = dark green
-Russia = dark grey
-Japan = light gray
-European Union = brown
-United Nations/World Union = blue
-Middle East Coalition = black
-Israel = sand green
-Australia = tan
-India = green
and so forth...
