Huh, that's odd. the first picture (box) has the fixed face grill helm, not the pointed visor. Hmm, I still think this might be the one set I don't buy...

The new brown horse and carriage wheels are the deal makers for me. Knights, Deadites & skele-horses are just frosting on the cake.

The large Playmobil castles have a similar feature. It looks to be more of a blow-apart wall for siege canons and ballista to create an entry point in this age of action toys for girls & boys where building is not the sole purpose of the toy.

All i can say is look out castle 80-90's cause we got a new golden age with that said I truely think lego has come back to there roots and the creativity is increasing drasticlly. They brought back the bow n arrow wicth is awsome and the old helemets and ideas are coming back. I especially love that in there sets they got an equal amount of shieldls on the castle set they have around 13 shields with that awsome crown on it and the skeleton emblem.

Also of note for this new generation of castle consider that the Harry Potter Hogwarts 2007 Castle carries 30 +/- fewer pieces than the BIG 2007 Castle (yet to be named) and a MSRP of $89.99 USD, and the two are coming out at the same time, with many useful co-operative functions. Though I suppose all the metallic elements are a bit high-end, don't you think 950 something pieces for a well thought out part/playset at $99 +/- USD beats the snot outta a lot of yesteryear? Why I remember fondly the big Royal Knights Castle at $99 (and up mostly at TRU) with only 743 elements back in 1995. And that was considered BIG then.

Now all we need are more peasants with pitchforks to bully, and things will be bliss.

I don't know how it took me so long to check these out, but I sure see some great improvements in the Castle Line. I was never a fan of the KKII line and even the newer sets with all the pantsless soldiers though better never really made me want to buy them. If I have an apartment by the summer, my small box of LEGO is going to have a few additions!

This is what we have been waiting for all these years. Now a couple of castle minifig packs like they used to do in the good old days and Castle would have made a complete turnaround.

Now I am not saying these sets are perfect, I am saying they have potential. The most potential we have seen in years. I tip my hat to TLC for finally coming through for us!

Along with the bleys and reddish brown, LEGO also changed a few other colors, among them transparent orange. Transparent orange is now much darker, and more red-like. You can see the difference in Izzo's recent Exterminators scene.

Thanks, I thought that was photoshopping on Izzo's dragon scene. I remember a conversation about torch colours from a while ago, but no new sets I have bought have fire. (Fire in Aquaraiders? )

TLC does seem to be making some sort of "recovery". I put my legos aside for about a year, and now I have come back to what seems to be an intriguing hour in Lego history. For the first time in a long while, I am pretty sure I have a desire to collect all of the sets from the new line coming out this summer. By the way, what are the new knights on the website now? (kk2.5-3?) I am especially excited about the new factions. The knights seem great as far as I can tell, and the undead add a very interesting twist. Take care...

This is intresting, there could possibly be another new Castle 2007 set:

7029 - Skeleton Ship Attack Year 2007: new summer 2007

But according to this link it is a Viking set

I didn't think there would be skeletons in a Viking set, when there's a castle theme related to undead, and it s possible this is a misprint.

It could be the ship that is vague on the background of the Caste 2007 poster!

I can't seem to find the set anywhere else. I'm afraid it probably is a misprint.

copied from the link:

7029 - Skeleton Ship Attack Year (2007) , Category POWER ITEMS (Promotional lines) - //// Weight g - Dimensions (LxWxH) x x cmFALSE

Dunno what power items are supposed to be but the word promotional says enough I guess. Oh well, let's wait and see.
