LCC Image Requirements (why your entry hasn't been approved)

Post by architect »

Last list updated as of 4/30/07

Quite a number of the LEGO Castle Contest entries have not been approved for the following reasons:

Broken Links (We need a link to your creation to see it)

filozof - joust skeleton vs. knight
Piotrek - Magic Tower

Images too large (Images can not be larger than 800x600 pixels)

Ericman - Skeleton Ballista
Ericman - Skeleton Catapult
Ericman - Undead Wagon
Burger - Grand Joust
forrest_john - Tower of Light
Dan - Manipulators Keep
Joakim Welander - Dragon Tower
Sir Brick - Dragon Knight vs. Scorpion Knight
SuperDave - Contest for Honor

Too many images (Your contest entry folder can only have 3 images in it. Individual entries need their own folders)

Pip - Siege of Farne Town Keep
Danielas - The wall smasher
Tomey - trade house
Emp.Justinian - The Joust in Heaven
Enp.Justinian - Blood Tower

Entry does not meet category requirements (please pm me for further details) Examples include not having figures or multiple factions

Ryan - Juggernaut (no opposing force)
Hob Took - Dark Rangers Transport (no wagon attacking force)
Jens - Prison Wheeler (no opposing force)
Webrain - No body expects (no opposing force)

Your Dark Rangers Transport needs an attacking force. This is part of the category requirements.

My ballista is still on the list, however it has been approved. Is there something still wrong with it?

No. The list above just has not been updated with approved entries and new entries with problems. I will work on this more tomorrow.

We suggest using image editing software such as photoshop or gimp. Some websites will also resize images that you submit to them:

Is it possible to resize images using a program like Paint or PowerPoint? As well, I'm still not clear on what a thumbnail is, and how to make a link to one.

You do not need to create a thumbnail if the image is on brickshelf. First click on your brickshelf image to find the url address of it:
www .brickshelf.com/gallery/BenjaminE/CityGate/1front.jpg

Then add this text to find the thumbnail:
www .brickshelf.com/gallery/BenjaminE/CityGate/thumb/1front.jpg_thumb.jpg

All three of your entry images need to be 800x600 pixels or less. Your entry will not be approved until you make this change.
