I really like seeing the old weapons and plentiful shields , especially since the small sets seems to be lacking in shields. I was planning not to buy this until I saw the review, now I'm highly considering it in addation to several copies of the 3 smallest sets. Excellent work TLG

I've needed something like this for a long time. Something to increase my stock of weapons, armor, and helmets. The large rock and wall pieces will come in handy too. I didn't know the set came with so many great pieces, I thought it was mainly large rock and wall pieces with a few figures stuck on top of them. :)

Since I am one of your friendly neighborhood Ambassadors (and the sets admin of this LEGO Castle fansite), Steve Witt of the LEGO Community Team sent it to me. My job is to review it for our community here at CC.

When I saw that picture on the front page, I thought LEGO had actually decided to make a new accessory pack.

Way to dash my hopes, Ben.

I'm hoping for a package deal from the S@H June catalog, they usually offer one multi-set deal for 10% off. Though the temptation to fill my cart and order is great.

Can't wait for these guys. Of course, trading away the undesireable skeletons for the absolute-must-have Crown Knights may prove to be a real trick. I wonder what the trade/exchange rate will be for Crown Knights to Skelies?

The Dragon is basically just a redeco of the Hongarian Horntail from the Harry Potter sets.

Thanks Ben! That is what I was hoping for. That's quite a bit of 1x2 and other great generic building brick. I'm even happier about my purchase now!

I am still working on my reviews but I took some time tonight to photograph figures that you wanted to see. Check them out!

Hmmm the dark wizard seems to have to the torso of the Star Wars royal guards yea? :)
Also, does the princess have 2 expressions on her face (one on each side)?

I second both those questions. I was actually always very curious as to the wizards torso.

I love how the archer has the 'bandoleer' strap for his quiver. That's fantastic!
