Everything is new!

I am having a problem with the new post/no new post alerts. (you know the things that are either gold or silver). Even when I have viewed the thread secounds before the thread is still identified as having new content. When I check to see if there is anything new there never is. Currentely well over half of the threads I have examined show up as having new posts even though they don't. Is this a common occurence? And if it is what can I do about it. The problem isn't really bad, just very annoying to the point of infuriation. :evil:
Please advise.

After checking even this thread show up new even though I wrote it and no one has replied.

This can happen if you check many threads while not logged in and then log in. Try clicking the "mark all forums read" link on the main forum page. Then stay logged in for a few hours and you should only see the new posts.
