Evil Castle...for lack of a better name

Post by Quickblade22 »

Hey all, I built this castle a few years ago. Compared to others on here, it is junk. I'm posting it now because I'm thinking about rebuilding it. I'll keep some the cool ideas I had, but it's time to improve. Give me some feedback  http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/quick ... _front.jpg

A cool evil castle. Just missing bats. Did lego ever make a bat?

This is a pretty neat castle. Could use some modifications, but I'll let others point out specifics.

Yes, and they are quite common.

Here is the BL page.

I absolutely love it! Seems as though it could be a haunted house at an amusement park.

Neat. I like the skull in the front. It gives the impression that you are going inside its mouth when entering through the door.

It's big, and evil, and big,..... and evil.... and big. You get the point.
Awesome!

The only thing I don't really like is the lack of patterning for the black and red... Chaos, I guess. :P
By the way, what sets did those red castle walls come from? M-tron or Spyrius base or something?
...and that's how Equestria was made!

If you look closely, you can tell that they are made out of littller peices stuck together, and that there is not arch.

Good detailing, BTW.

Holy cow, I didn't notice that! Take that as a compliment, Quickblade...

This is definitely one of the most powerful and intimidating castles I've seen. The lighting really adds to the effect, although I'm not a big fan of using the Harry Potter roof piece. Other than that, though, I really like it.

Wow. Very good, oops, I mean evil castle! I especially like the two dragons roosting right outside the gate. Very nice, there I go again, I mean dastardly castle!

Some excellent details here & as the others have said it is quite impressive in size. It does really have that LEGO set feel & style to it - in spite of its size ;) My fav features is the throne room & the balcony. Well done :)

Thanks for the compliments guys.
Just missing bats.
I used 2 bats, right beside the chains to the draw bridge. I hope you guys liked the brick built gargoyles. I'll get some more pics posted when I get a chance. The bottom right room on the backside pic was supposed to be like a breeding chamber, similar to the one in the LOTR movies, but for my dragonmen http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/quick ... onmen1.jpg
I may do that yet. I'm glad you guys like it. It was intended to be a castle that was for not 1, but 5 of my evil factions. A united force of darkness. But...since the new Castle line put a cramp on my story, I'll have to build my way out of it.

Nice MOC!

My favorite part are those Gargoyles you have at the corner of the gatehouse portion of the Castle. No one seems to have noticed that...

I also like how the skull is light grey instead of white. The darker color makes it more sinister.

But have you ever throught of using a sand-green color for the skull?
