These lists are for housekeeping purposes for me and the other attendees to coordinate our combined efforts, so if your name does not appear on the "built" list yet, don't despair, or panic: it just means that I haven't gotten confirmation to move your fig from one list to the next.

Hello, Classic-Castle!

With all the whispers of the upcoming Northwest BrickCon 2007, it's now time to put the all call out for your sigfigs.

For newcomers to the community, your sigifig is your plastic representation of yourself. This does not have to be castle-y for our purposes; not everyone has a castle oriented sigfig. While preferred, it's certainly not required. :)

The ultimate goal is to get as many sigfigs from CC as possible, line em all up, and take a picture. Pretty simple, right? Here's a look at last year:

Image

There are ALL sorts of figs there. It's a ton of fun. Don't worry, though: sigfigs will be treated with the utmost respect, and will not be placed in compromisingsituations. ;) (Unless, of course, you'd like them to be, and I assure you the CC attendees would be more than happy to oblige in sigfig abuse.)

Since I said it so aptly when I posted this for BFPDX, I'll just plagiarize my own post:

FOR ATTENDEES: Please be sure to bring your sigfig with you. Once the schedule for NWBC becomes more apparent, I'll figure out a time for the figs to assemble somewhere in the display for the picture. All signs point to sometime Saturday. Details for us will be worked out later.

FOR NON ATTENDEES: You have a choice! You can either A) Post in this thread or send me a PM detailing what your fig looks like, or B) if you have a custom fig, you can send it to me and I'll be sure it gets returned to you.

For Option A: You MUST provide picture reference for your fig. For example, my sigfig is this:

Image

It's a clear photo, and it's easy to reference the torso, face, hair, and legs. If you don't have a photo and aren't able to take one, please browse either Peeron or Bricklink and give us the references. This makes it easier on us, the attendees, to construct your figs. If you have a particularly rare piece for any of it, please also consider alternatives: If your sigfig uses the forestwoman torso, for example, or the white ninja, please give us a cheaper, easier-to-find alternative. With the massive collections between the attendees, we should be able to construct your fig, but we'd like a back up plan.

For Option B: Please send me a PM, and I will let you know what snail-mail address to send your fig to. If at all possible, Option A would be best, because it has less room for the USPS to err and lose your fig. :) But if you really want YOUR fig to be there, we'll do what we can. Just shoot me a PM.

After NWBC, photos will be posted in a myriad of sites. I'll have mine in my flickr account, and I'm sure plenty will be on various image hosting sites that are used by the community.

Pleas post photos of your fig prior to SEPTEMBER 26, 2007. This will give us enough time to construct them all. If you are sending me your fig, PM me no later than September 15. I must receive the fig prior to September 30.

(Attendees: shoot me a PM to let me know if you would be able to help construct SigFigs. I'd like to avoid duplicates, but I'd rather have those then not at all. Thanks!)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Just post em' here. :D

Man, I wish I could come, but I almost certainly won't be able too.

I think it's high time I get a new sigfig, as the black-collared Forestman, while awesome, doesn't look much like me. I promise to post a pic soon.

When is the latest I could send you the details of my sigfig? My sigfig needs a bit of reworking but my entire LEGO collection is packed for moving right now.

Okay, here's pic:

The rubber band belt isn't necessary; the fig could hold the sword in his right hand.

I missed last year, so here we go.

Image

Kinda small, so here is a discreption. Black Torso, arms, hands, and crotch piece(whats it called?). Dark Grey legs, chest armor, evil skull, and a broadsword in the right hand, large battle axe in the other. A black Helmet with nose guard, just a normal one will do.

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot the red cape.

Thanks a bunch, if anyone can create my fig.
wrap me in a bolt of lightning,
send me on my way still smiling,
maybe that's the way i should go:
straight into the mouth of the unknown....

Oooops. I knew I was forgetting something.

I edited the original post, but here's the pertinent info:

Pleas post photos of your fig prior to SEPTEMBER 26, 2007. This will give us enough time to construct them all. If you are sending me your fig, PM me no later than September 15. I must receive the fig prior to September 30.

Keep em coming!

Hey Caylin,

Once again, my sigfig would love to be represented:

Dumbledore head in yellow
brown torso and legs
2 brown capes, one forward, one backward, with a black rubber band belt
brown jedi hood

My sigfig is "The Maniac".

Hat: Black pirate rag.
Head: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic ... 3626bpb022
Body: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pa7
Arms: black
Hands: black
Hips: tan
Legs: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic ... 970c00pb18

He's a little complicated after this point.

He has a black, paper trenchcoat, with the collar folded down. put two samecolor rubberbands across, over the trenchcoat, under his arms. in one side, put two black woodcutter's hatchets in the back, inside on of the rubberband. take an oldstyle halberd and cut it short, into a battle axe. then stick that in the other rubberband. no for his guns. in hisleft hand, an ordinary pistol, in his other hand... cut off the end of a rifle, and stick it in the end of a black "Chainsaw body" as they're called. take a small hammer, the modern one, not the blacksmith kind, and stick it in the end with the handle below it. I might make a picture tutorial later.

Doodstormer, as your fig has custom elements, you're supposed to send it to Caylin. I guess you could also provide an alternative description using only unmodified LEGO pieces.

Actually...:
Hat: Black pirate rag.
Head: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic ... 3626bpb022
Body: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pa7
Arms: black

Black cape. Put two black rubberbands across, over the cape, under his arms. In one side, put two black woodcutter's hatchets in the back, inside of of the rubberband. Put a black Fabuland axe in the other rubberband. In his left hand, an ordinary pistol, in his other hand, a rifle or some BrickArms weapon. Take a small hammer, the modern one, not the blacksmith kind (the kind that usually comes with wrenches and other tools in dark grey, right Dood?), and stick it in the end with the handle below it.

Would that work?
...and that's how Equestria was made!
