Kitty Hawk, NC (December 17, 1903)

Post by Athos »

Great moments in Lego history continues with the Wright Brothers' historic flight near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on December 17, 1903:

The whole flighty gallery (on flickr shudder):

This was my first attempt at a mini-scale vehicle of any sort, so I'm interested in feed back.

Also, a couple weeks ago, I had the chance to visit Kitty Hawk and see the the real field where the Wright Brothers flew. I'm standing at the lift-off point and those white markers show where each of the 4 flights landed:

And I also visited the Smithsonian and was able to see the real Wright Flyer:

Nice job Steve!

Oddly, I just was at KittyHawk last month.

The overall vig is very nice. Is the plane supposed to be the real one or the test model? I love the bike. Great job!

Great vig! You've captured the perspective very nicely. The micro-scale plane is done well, I think. :)

Very nice, I love the forced perspective you've used.

The only thing I'm confused about is the owl. The owl makes me think its night time.

Good work.
