Hi Admins :)

Am I allowed to submit more than 1 pic of my all my creations combined to show different variations (I have built a modular castle)? If not, would 1 or 2 inset images be permissible?

There are no picture limitations to this contest, with the exception of the one required picture of all of the sets together. You may submit as many or as few pictures of your sets in any combination as you'd like, posting no more than one picture in the forum and linking to the rest off site.

In the contest submission thread, you state that being 10-20 pieces over the limit is neglible. I'm not sure how fair that would be, you could add plenty of things, like 2 extra figs with that many more pieces.

Well I'm sure that he just meant that if you go over by accident that much it's alright, but don't take advantage of it and add extra stuff.

Anyways, I have a question, does each coin count as an individual piece or is it the set of four that counts as one piece? Thanks.

Hi again admins. Well if I didn't mess up a submission it just wouldn't be a contest would it? Just a note to let you know I have edited my original post on the submissions thread & added my updated entry.

Well after rebuilding my entry I'm going to be miffed if anyone goes over the limit now :P

Counting pieces is making me go insane.

I think Tony should win the title. "Crazy Contest Captain" for hosting this insane exercise in LEGO© construction. :P

Never the less after giving this contest a lot of thought I've decided that I really do think it's an excellent idea and I can't wait to see everyones submissions. There's a lot of room in this contest to include our own personal story elements and I think that's pretty sweet.

Okay that's all I had to say.

Happy Building!

What I said was 10-20 pieces on a 1000 piece set was negligible. This works out to be 1%-2% over limit, which is all I'm willing to allow.

 2. Each MOC (set) must meet one of 6 price tiers traditionally associated with LEGO sets: $5, $8, $12, $20, $50, $100.
 3. You may not enter more than one set per price tier.
 4. The piece limit for each tier will be determined by using the traditional $0.10/piece price point, which means a $5 should have around 50 parts.
 5. You are not strictly limited to the $0.10/piece limit, but your set may not exceed more or less than 20% of each tier's piece count.
This is proving more of a challenge than I expected. Curse you, Sava! And I mean that in the most loving and caring way -- in other words, I'm having fun.

Hey, I've been sitting on this contest idea for over a year, it should be a good one by now ;) And I've even more ideas for future contests, but they'll have to wait till after CCC5 (are we really up to 5 now???). Though I don't think I'll ever do the 'reimagine your favorite Ikros scene' contest. ;)

I've seen a lot of threads all over the LEGOverse talking about "What sets should LEGO Make?" or "What theme should be next?" and I just thought this was the logical progression. And with all the limits in place, perhaps a lesson on why certain themes are harder to produce than others.

I'm glad to hear it! Honestly between the contest itself and the new prize I'm actually a little bummed I'm not eligable to enter.

Coins count as one piece each, flowers count as the sum of their parts (3 flowers + 1 stem = 4 parts). Skeletons count as one fig.

Hi. Just one question about the contest rules:
SavaTheAggie wrote:[*]Custom elements are limited to minifig and animals, stickers, and minifig and animal accessories.
Can this extend to standard parts that make up the figure's assembly? Essentially one figure requires a 3-stud long version of the 4l lightsaber bar on the back. Is that okay, or does custom only extend to clothing and handheld items?

(If anyone's wondering, it's a brick-built rig to give a standard minifigure 2 extra arms. It consists of a 1x1 neck bracket, a 1x1 brick with horizontal clip, 2 new skeleton arms and the aforementioned 3l rod)
This has nothing to do with lego or castle

I'll allow it. If the figure is not wearing a full suit of armor or holding three or four weapons, you may count the extra parts as part of the minifig total. Otherwise count either the accessories or the extra fig parts as extra parts counting toward your part total, your choice as to which.

Oh, I was going to count the non- accesories parts into the set total anyway. I was more asking about the customisation.

Still, thanks!

Okay, well my entry is complete so now I just have to do a final piece count and the pictures. I'll post it in the next day or two.
