I'm not even sure what my first Lego Castle set was ... I know the first Pirate and Town sets ... but not Castle. Something small ... probably 6042 Dungeon Hunters. At least, that was my first knight and Forestman. Then again it could have been 6018 Battle Dragon or a 6034 Black Monarch's Ghost. Those were happy days, spending my time watching Disney's Robin Hood and building bricks on the floor. Pure imagination running wild.

Lego Castle ... Happy Birthday, you're a year older than me, and finally reached the point where you really are Classic.

I still remember these first gray walls, these "fig" horses (one of my friends had them when I still had builded horses, and I was prefering mine... but when I was offered "fig" horses, I thought they were very better!!), these many sets...

Compare the ugly castles and carts/wagons of the Idea Book and all the sets of 1984: 1984 is the real beginning of Legoland Castle!

Happy birthday!
