Jake addresses the Castlonical Issue

Postby Glencaer » Tue Nov 18, 2003 4:03 pm

cryptically, of course, but you know... legal obligations and all.

http://news.lugnet.com/general/?n=43669

"
BRUCE: Also, you didn’t address the third issue that has been bouncing around here and elsewhere, the rumors of a castle/bionicle hybrid. I know you won’t discuss such leaked information on future lines, but could I ask for a clarification on something Brad said at NWBrickCon: “Q: Castle? A: yes” From this post: http://news.lugnet.com/events/nwbrickcon/?n=153

When the questioner asked “castle?”, what would have been the response if he had said “minifig scale castle?” instead?

JAKE: Your Jedi mind tricks won’t work on me Brucey-Wan.

All I’ll say about this is that textual lists of leaked set info often cause more confusion than anything else.

These aren't the castle sets you're looking for.

I am not sure that's correct. Jake basically said that the textual leaks are not entirely true. We will not be able to understand what the new line is until we get pictures. As others have stated, they could be Bionicle-esque, Galidor-esque, or something completly new. Wait and see, perhaps we'll be pleasently surprised!

Anthony's reply was funny, not that castlonicle is in any way funny. It is sad and it makes me buy more Megablock vorgans

Yeah, I just saw that on Lugnet. It's not a leak or a rumor anymore, since it's in an official LEGO publication.

Hopefully this is just setting the stage for some real castle stuff.

Can anyone tell what scale these things are? Are they the same size of Bionicle?

The only way that this "stuff" could be beneficial to us is that Lego makes some nice size castles for them. If they're too big though, there's no chance of it. However, a Jack Stone size series would have possible castles/buildings/scene things. Though Im not holding my breathe...

.....so when does the next Legends set come out?
