It just looks funny when one nation has its knights in full plate armor standing next to a "Roman" themed nation with the knights looking like they are going to a beach party.
now that isnt funny. The plate armour, was after the lorica segmentata wich I identify as plate armour too. If its 30° celsius, lets see how lang you'll fight with your plate armour in the sun. The Romans were adjusted to where they were. They wore trousers, long sleeves, etc. if it was colder.

We want Romans![/quote]
That is my point. 1) Roman armor is for a mediterranean climate. If thats where your factions live, great! Now you have fitting armor for the climate. Of course knights are not going to use plate armor if its hot. 2) Most castle factions (perhaps in my opinion) have been associated with the dark-ages or Midieval period of mid to upper Europe. Now, looking at history of that time after the Roman empire fell apart Northern Europe stopped for the most part using Roman armor. If I place my factions in the Northern European climate in the 800-1200 time period why whould I need armor from a warmer climate? I am not saying that Roman armor is less effective than midieval period armor it just looks odd. And yes, Roman armor does look comical to me, especially the broom helmets.
