It can be a local medieval legend. Please write a summary of the Legend in the description area.
I've got a question about the farm entry... Does it need to have farmers and house and vehicles and tools and crops and animals? Or just some of those elements?
Probably yes. We may allow a larger footprint for the Medieval Farm category to accommodate fields. The admins will get back to you on this.
A curiosity: Shouldn't the Historic Event category be demarcated to a certain point in time?
The fall of Rome to the burning of London in 1666 is the time frame.
I assume the Castle Spaces entries must be built on two plates of 32x32 size or smaller?
Yes
Can my medieval legend be islandic?
Yes as long as it is medieval.

Oh wow oh wow oh wow!!!

I'm pretty excited about this year's contest.
Not only is it the fifth year of CCC (wow, big deal!), but it is the first year in which I will have enough time to do SOME of the things I want to for it!
However, with the whole engagement, my parts will be limited to what I have now...Hmm, more creativity perhaps?)

The prizes look great, and the categories are some of the best I've seen for this contest!!!

A HUGE thanks to all the admins and prize donators!!! With out you, there would not be a CCC at all, let alone a CCCV!

Can you tell I'm excited?!?!

Thanks a lot to everyone organizing and donating to this contest! And thanks for taking the time to answer questions Ben, while reading the first post I actually had the same questions others already asked, and you already answered them, so that takes care of that for me :)

Count me in for this one!

I'm in the same boat, I'm getting married in about a half year and since we're assuming we'll only marry once in our lives, it's gotta be good! Big parties cost lots of money though...
Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs

I'm sure this will be a lot of fun for all. :D

Well, overall the prizes are good except that ugly Tower of Majisto. That could be one of those weekly set-discussions concerning the worst Lego set Lego ever made...

but back to the real questions of CCCV

... I also do not understand the farm issue as it limits creativity. EXAMPLE: a chicken farm is a farm, has a house, has animals but strictly sticking to the rules you cannot build that because a chicken farm has no crop involved. At least I would build it without a crop field.

Misa not muy muy understand :(

Aliencat congratulations to you

Aliencat, keep cool. I got married 2 months ago and we merely invited our parents. My theory is the following: People that want to get married BIG because it is a special day in their life, put a lot of effort in that day. Organizing that day takes time and effort so they expect it to be special abd tend to project that one day to life being married. But life being married is nothing special. It is every day's life, nothing changes. So many of those expecting something special, may get disappointed after having married BIG. Keep this in mind so you won't get disappointed.
Congratulations to you! The special thing being married is that it is nothing special.

Wow, I'm definately going to enter this contest again! Many thanks to the admins. I have imense respect for the donators and their charitable prizes. I like to think of my self as unselfish, but when it comes to this I don't know if I would be able to let go of those awesome castle sets! Thank you and

Size guideline for legendary events?

Post by Mr. Shiny & New »

Is there any size guideline for the legendary events? Is a huge scene expected, or a vig, or what?

Woohoo! The busiest month of the year already, and now the CCCV on top of it! I need to cut out sleep :)

Thanks to the admins for hosting this every year! Almost done sorting my parts, which means it's almost time to start building anyway, what a great excuse to start!

We do expect a scene from the legend, not just the legendary figure. You can build up to the maximum size (2 32x32 baseplates or one 48x48 baseplate) or a smaller creation. We are looking for scenes larger than a typical 8x8 or 16x16 vignette.
Are fantasy creations with undead, ect. aloud?
This depends on the category. There are medieval legends with fantasy like St. George and the Dragon. Fantasy would not be appropriate for categories such as Historic Events or Medieval Farm. Use your best judgment. If a creation does not fit in well with a category, we will move it to the miscellaneous category.

My silly question is about the Medieval legend category. You said you can use custom weapons, but what about custom helmets and shields such as the ones from BrickForge?
