Hello Tania,
Welcome to CC! I have always enjoyed you and Luis' creations, particularly your micro coast, the Casa Minhota and microfig town you did together and Luis' Torre de Belem. This is another great MOC. Do you have any photographs with the wheel standing still so we can see how that was constructed?
You've got a PM.
Bruce

Hey all,
I'm pretty sure the waterwheel was built with these parts:
Attached to these:
I really like the setting, and the ratio of the built environment to the natural environment. Too often we tend to build our MOCs with the landscaping seemingly added as an afterthought. I think it is commendable that the setting has been so well integrated into this MOC.
Cheers,
Brody

Bingo! You are quite right about the parts, you can see them here.
If you see the photos of the construction, you can see that I've started building the landscaping first.brody wrote: I really like the setting, and the ratio of the built environment to the natural environment. Landscaping, foliage, vegetation, I really love the dedicate myself to create them, I prefer to create litlle details..
Sorry to you all about my bad english
I've lot of things I could talk about but I need to pratice first.

I really like this one. The landscaping is great, and the little details really bring it to life. Your figs seem to be alive in their own little world. It's very organic, and the building itself looks awesome. Great Job.

Ah! FInally time to properly post on this.
I have always enjoyed Luis' MOCs and I look forward to more of yours as well.
I have alot of favorite details in connection with this creation. First of all is the first picture in the brickshelf gallery. The bridge is great and I love the bundle of wood the guy has!
Next would be the color scheme. I always find these colors go great together and love making MOCs with them.
The large tower portion is neat and goes well with the smaller windows on the roof.
I also really like how you graduated the shades of blue down the waterfal to end up with white, trully inspired.
So with that I am so glad you have joined up and I hope to see more of your/Luis' work soon!

Keeping in mind that the whole creation is brilliant - my favourite element is the waterfall.
With the 'frothing' of the water at the base of the fall and the gradation of the water colour it just doesn't get any better.

Although the person above is digging up an old thread (AKK!!! NO!) I really do have something to add beyond "please don't dig up old threads because it clutters our forum etc."
The water mill itself looks incomplete. The "paddles" look too long; it would have to be a very strong current to spin them quickly, and the are flat; not water would be collected into them to help push it. Even though it is built right above a powerful waterfall, I was thinking that you could tilt the paddles all in the same direction so that it creates a "bucket" look; I think that would improve it. Even though I don't have pictures and I can't say that it would be good or not, I think I'd like to see how that looks.

I can't belive I forgot to post here. The building itself is great, and I like the landscaping. Tânia doesen't seem to be active anymore, but I met her at a Lego display, and she's a very nice person. Also, the Torre de Belém (tô-rre d be-lem or in english Tower of Bethlehem, the official residence of the President of the Portuguese Republic) looks alot nicer in person, and so do many other Mocs. I hope she becomes active again.
For Tânia-Despacha-te a regressar.

You know you're a good person when you see megablocks and have to do things you would rather not.
