Viking Farm: My first CCC5 entry

Post by Athos »

Even though you can't officially post them yet, I wanted to share this around and get some feedback. So here is my first entry, for the agriculture category. The Viking Farm:

The whole agrarian gallery:

It looks great to me. Like Josh said I love the mermaid. I would suggest adding more crops.

Well, since it's not like you can resubmit them now, here is my feedback...

Steve - Honestly, if there was a 'Most Improved Builder' award in the CCC, you would win, hands down. This MOC and your other CCC-V entries which you have posted are all very good, and a definite improvement over your prior work. I never thought I'd say this, but... Way to go!! 8)

Keep building! :D

What? I don't see anything in the rules that would bar my submission of them.

I said resubmit... not submit. Your entries stand as they are, with no changes now.

They are really good, Steve, although patience and reworks could work wonders given the contest timeframe. Good luck!

Considering this is not an Entry form I do not see why or how he can not change them still since they have not been submitted. Just because the post says CCCV Enrty does not make this final.

They look good, unfortunately I will not say what you should change becuase we are in competition with each other, good luck though.

I don't see why I couldn't change them. I haven't officially entered them yet. Though I probably won't, as I've got other entries to work on. :D

Though I wonder if this was an official entry, if I could re-enter an improved Viking Farm Mark II, as my second entry for the category... I don't see anything prohibiting such...

In the past we have frowned upon asking for building suggestions for entries that are not submitted yet. Giving feedback is certainly encouraged once the entry has been submitted. The admins apologize for not having these forms up yet and are working on it.

Wow Steve, *waves fist* stop building such awesome entries.

I love this, it has such great detail, especially love the top of the roof and love the mermaid catcher in the barrel.

Looks great.

Ok, I won't change any of them. Probably wouldn't have anyway, since its too much trouble to drag out the MOCs, rebuild something minor, re-photograph them, re-edit and resize the pictures, then re-post them... Time I'd much rather spend re-laxing... :D

Nice mermaid!

This reminds me of Lans au medeau in northern Newfoundland. It is very simple, yet authentic. 10/10.

It is a lovely display - the vegetables in the garden are my favourite elements - very clever use of minifig heads. Lee.
