I thought that I would just share this with you (just in case you may not have seen it yet). I think he is very cool.

I hope that they make different characters.

I have just bought one for myself from a seller on ebay, as it is not available for purchase via shop-at-home for Australian residents.

I hope that you enjoy.

Too expensive for me. Can't play with it and I'm not so much into Star Wars Lego anymore.

Since posting my original message, I have done some research and found more information on these Maquettes by Gentle Giant. - Here are some links (if you are interested).

Saw it at TRU a couple weeks ago. While kinda cool, I really don't have any interest in buying one, even though I'm a huge sucker for Lego Star Wars.

I have to agree with that. I'm also not a fan of the way their arms and legs are posed. Just makes me think they're broken minfigures.

this is not a TLG product so is subject to GG's restrictions on when and where to sell.

Can the arms be swapped out into normal minifig torsos?

No, as these are quite a bit taller than minifigs. I believe they are 6 inches tall. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

AFOL and his money are easily parted.

That's a shame. It could've been used in comics pretty well.

yeah, no kidding. it says in the lego catalogs something like "Great for AFOLs!" which makes no sense to me, because as I understand it, the LEGO SW games are very simplistic with a difficulty-level appropriate for a family-type setting (i.e. little kids). Not that I don't love the games, only that if I'm spending 70 bucks, I'd rather spend it on more LEGOs.

If had a girlfriend/wife that was cool with these then I might buy one but if not I could see these as the "anti-chick" magnet. Plus I could think of other LEGO products to spend this on as well.
