The set design is silly, bizarre and unrealistic, but for some reason, I still kind of like it. Its still better than any of the crappy KK2 sets.

It might not be the greatest looking set but I really don't feel it's that bad. Being a tabletop gamer from years back it reminds me of a type of goblin war machine. I definitely love it.

I happy to see LEGO going even more fantasy with this castle line the orcs/goblins look great along with that shield and the dwarves are awesome. I kept checking Target daily for the Mine and when I found it I picked up a few copies. I hope LEGO got the message from Target that the Mine was a hot seller.

I hope the price is $29.99 (or lower) for a set that may have 6 figs plus weapons, shields, and accessories. Yes I dream of the minifig/battle packs too but this isn't half bad for starters.

I like the look of this set. Looks very in place for the fantasy-type theme of the orcs. The details and parts selection look nice, and plenty of minifigs. A fun, nice looking, decent set from what I can see.

I don't agree that it is at all in the same category as the cartoonish "Fright Knights".

I should be noted that when I said "weird", way back on page one, I meant "weird", which is to say "odd", "strange", and "different"--not "bad", which I think is how some people are using it on this thread.

Although I cannot fathom having the kind of mind that would design something that looks like that in a Castle setting, it is a fact that I am old and stodgy and set in my ways. That being said, however, I think it looks like a pretty decent set in terms of parts and figs, and the design certainly looks like it's rather ingenious.

I think we just need to get over the quasi-medieval expectation inculcated by Black Falcons and Yellow Castles, and remember that Orks and Trolls can't be expected to build their siege engines in quite the same manner as Bull Knights.

I guess I'll buy two of them and hope I can make a decent battle ram or huge trebuchet. Put a few trolls in front and viola!!

I like the parts and figs. It doesn't look useless, just a useless design. The pieces are worth getting.

I agree! While I loved the purity of the classic-castle lines, I also greatly enjoy this fantasy twist. Some declare that this particular seige engine isn't 'realistic', but then again the whole 'Troll' faction isn't either. At least this has some basis of credibility, especially with the trolls running on the wheels to power it. I think it is so cool LEGO would think to do that.

Imagine how ridiculous it would be if it was the same design, but with no trolls running along the wheels. Thankfully that isn't the case, and LEGO is incorporating great amounts of creativity into their sets lately.

The amount of figs in the sets has been increasing, and this set is no exception. I even love the knights' little barricade. Overall, in my opinion, this is yet another good looking set in what I believe to be a cool and creative line.

Actually, it would be even cooler if the trolls powered the wheels by running around inside them like enormous hamsters.

To be fair, at least it's not another catapault. Also, it's big enough that all your catapaults actually have something to aim at.

I'm sure my kids will love this thing. Two giant wheels of death that can in mere seconds destroy all that daddy just spent the last half hour setting up. Thanks Lego.

Seriously though it looks like a fun set. Kids will want it and Lego will make a lot of money. It is infinitely better than knghts jousting on carts or whatever.

Well, the monster side doesn't have a catapult, but it looks like the human side has one of these to fling stuff at the Battle Wheel.

That would be right see the images of 7036 & 7041 Battle Wheel in the Aust Lego Catalogues first but see the sets on the shelves probably last.

Look how the 2007 Aus catalogue said that 7036 Dwarfs Mine would be released by September 2007 now in 2008 the catalogue has been revised to a March 2008 release.

This is not good news; 7036 must have really been popular in the northern hemisphere, hoping the wheel is less popular.

It's ages 6-12, so it can't be more than $30. With 3 orcs and 3 humans this is sure to be a great set! And with many of those clicky hinges I seem to always need, to boot!

I love this set!

Agreed! If I was at a gaming table and the GM pulled this out during a huge battle, I think every gamer at the table would yell "COOL" at the same time.

This is very creative, very goblin-like, and very cool! I'll buy several of these suckers to flatten calvary during a mega-war.

I think the little greenskins are referred to as "trolls" by LEGO.

Haha, that would indeed have made this set beyond awesome ;)
