Log-in Problems

Postby Asterios2 » Sat Jan 05, 2008 2:53 am

ok today when i tried to log into the site,i found out i was logged out,no problem so i tried logging in,problem i found out when i logged in all i got was a white screen, nothing else, when i tried password recovery it said my account was inactive and to contact a forum admin why, well if you can't log in that is not feasible to do.

Anyway i'm curious is this only me or are other people encountering the same problem,if not was i banned and nobody told me,or what?

Curious..

I've never had this happen to me before, nor have I heard of this happening.

"..it said my account was inactive and to contact a forum admin why, well if you can't log in that is not feasible to do."

Well, not neccessarily, couldn't you just email an Administrator rather than make a new account?

Pretty positive you weren't banned, though. If I'm not mistaken, when you look at a topic created by a banned member their name apears in black, without a link to their profile. But I just checked yours out and it looks normal to me.

Admins that can be emailed: 7
Known to be active admins that can be emailed: 3
Pages that give you that email address: 1+

If you look at the page John pointed you to, there is a button next to each Admin's name that says, "Click to email". Does that not work? (Seems like it should, but I've never tried it myself.)

You had trouble logging in because your account had been temporarily deactivated for not following forum rules and disregarding warnings by Administrators and Moderators. Having a second account is also against the TOS and this second account will be deleted. However, we will not take any further action against you at this time because of the second account.

My email address on the site is currently down (@c-c.com), however, the email is forwarded to another email address of mine on a random basis (I suspect Troy manually forwards relevant emails among the hordes of spam that is delivered to that address). I believe Ben and Bruce's email addresses are still accurate and functional.

Your account had only been deactivated for a day, so I would suggest having patience next time and let the admins check their email and respond to your questions regarding your account.
