And until then, you can use forestmen with long hair and Exo-force heads.

Oddly works.

Folks are saying we wouldnt see a crusade like theme due to political reasons. But remember LEGO made cowboys and indians for us!

Granted native americans tend not to blow up buildings when they are upset, but still this is something that could be seen as a politically sensative issue.

ALso it could be gotten around in a couple of ways. What if you never actually depict the factions as fighting eachother? You could have them both fighting skellies!

Well mayb enot skellies but you get the point, no? Lego could, it seems, make factions that looked and felt crusader and saladin like.

Return to Asia.

India, China, a revisit to Japan, or maybe Ottoman Turkey, or some Arabic Sultanate.

You can even go Meso-American like Aztecs and Mayans and have a castle theme without horses and set in the tropical jungles of Central America.

I agree with you about the Asia thing, but I guess we aren't going to get that for a long time... seems like everytime we talk about this, we always recommend the same new themes to system over and over again... :D

Seems kind of pointless after awhile.

On the other hand, I am glad to get the new stuff, so I guess all is well for now~
Knight Templar
n. pl. Knights Templars or Knights Templar
1.A member of an order of knights founded about 1118 to protect pilgrims in the Holy Land during the Second Crusade.

I wouldn't mind a return to feudal Japan, but I simply can't afford hundreds of different sub-themes. The medieval thing always worked well because the different sets could be integrated. The problem with too many sub-themes is that my wallet is too thin.

On the other hand, a Meso-American theme probably would be a good tie in right now given the Indiana Jones line. I could actually see this doing pretty well. My wallet is still empty, but I could envision some buyers for such a line.

I wouldn't mind another visit to Japan as well as I really liked the Ninja theme. It was nice to explore all those Samurai/Shogun dreams.
On the flip side I am also interested in what other "fantasy" items LEGO will add in the near future in adition to the Dwarves, Orcs, big Trolls, and Skeletons.

Im sure Fantasy LEGO has about 2 more years, but after that... LEGO needs to get back to a more historical-like theme. We've been to Japan, Im sure we can go back there again. But you also have China.

China would be interesting... just base the minifigs off of movies like The Warlord, Curse of the Golden Flower, or HERO.

I mean... just look at these Qin Army soldiers from HERO. Truly an intimidating sight to behold... all those black-clad warriors, archers, crossbowmen, and cavalry. Not to mention those ballistas... Now imagine them as minifigs... :D

Outside the Keep. Garrison the knights in the village, have a bayside market complete with guarded entry ports, and border the village with a nice forest full of thieves and bandits! Then over-run the whole thing with villagers, zombies, knights and goblins from the 2007 & 2008 assortment!
