Well, now that I look at the sets, I have to agree they are not that bad. However they pale in comparison to all the older castle sets. One other question though. The black armor in this pic here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=768892 almost seems to have a sticker on it. Could you confirm or deny this?

Thanks :)

Oh! I hope that is a sticker: it would be even better if it was plain black:!:

It is printed, I noticed it looked like a sticker, but it is not.

I uploaded more pics of the figs and a few other pics to show how they are - the folder should be public again soon.

:( Oh well, I guess the design on that breastplate isn't so terrible really.

Well, KKII is neat and cool-looking, in it's own right. But for Castle! Come on, these are not Castle. They look great for what they are; futuristic knight-thingies. They are not castle. Period. I do think I will be able to use the black armor, though.

Here's another question for you. What is the green thing in the middle of the picture here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=768881 ? Is that thing a frog?

I've been optimistic about KK2 from the start, and I must say that I'm not disappointed. I think the printing on the heads (for the most part) looks great, and I love the armor. I'm happy to see that we've got a new source for horses, and the new bardings and chanfrons look awesome. I'm still not pleased with the visors (though it'll be easy to replace them with a normal, light grey visor) or the shields, but what are you going to do? I'm used to crappy set designs from The Lego Group by now, so I'm not even taking that into consideration when I am choosing which set to buy.
Anybody know when these will be available in stores in the midwest?

Jayko's head looks like teenage Timmy.

With a little brasso the armor and shields will be awesome. Next some dark grey plastic paint and all done! I can't wait to brasso the barding, and have an all red barding!

I think the faces are really nice. It gives more variety to me and will add personality to the figs in my collection.

I wished they wouldn't have colored the minifigs in their licensed products in a flesh-colored, because there is some nice new faces there as well...
like Peter Pettigrew, Professor Trewelney, Neville, Aunt May,
and Peter Parker's Boss (J. Jonah Jamison).

Since I live on the east coast, I guess I will have to wait
until they make it into stores here, or else get offered on
Shop@Home.

The newest Lego Magazine, had the larger figures there
already, so I don't think it will be too long until they
are ready to be sold at Shop@Home.

For those of you who want to get your hands on these now Legoland does do phone orders.. well at least they have in the past. If I recall correctly they charge the same for shipping as S@H.

You can call them up at 1-714-918-5346. I posted the set numbers in a previous post in this topc.

Unless someone beats me to it, and unless there's a public outcry against it, I've decided that when I get my hands on them I will be doing shield template/designs for stickers of the KK2 knights, if anyone is interested in knowing. The reason I say this now is because Mark was so kind to tell us that the minifig shields are, indeed, hard plastic, and have renewed my interest in copying their designs as I have done for the others.

I will also attempt, again if no one beats me to it, to create the original factions in this style of shield. Don't expect anything anytime soon until the sets start showing up at my local toy store, unless someone is willing to give me one of each of the figs for free ;) That would certainly speed up the process

I think having a complete set of these done by you would be a great service to all us Castle fans, but honestly, my bet would be the race is to cover them up with better designs. :D

That sounds like a great idea, but I can't say that I'd do it. Some designs such as Rasco and Danju's sheilds are horrible, But Jayko's is really cool looking
