Improve BrickQuest?
Hi.
I have seen BrickQuest, and really like it, and would love to try, but...
1. I haven't got the parts for a modular dungeon.
2. Wish it were a little more detailed.
So could anyone help me find a way to improvise:
1. Experience points/leveling up
2. A way to make quests without tiled ground made of different colored 4x4s
3. Improved Classes and combining Races with Classes.
Thanks,
- Doodstormer
P.S.: I have some ideas, I'll improve them when I get the time
For Races, maybe modifiers to different rolls?
For movement without marked ground, perhaps better improvisation of the BrickRuler?

I'm down, although my time is limited.

Don't worry about modular dungeons, just make yourself a brick ruler. Get a 16x1 beam and 4 4x1plates (in two different colours) on top and Bam! you can play anywhere. Movements and ranges are measured out for you on the rulers. Easy.Hi.

In terms of detail, I'm not sure what you're looking for. Perhaps you might like to suggest some things you would like to see and we'll work from there.2. Wish it were a little more detailed.

As for leveling up... that's a serious amount of brickquesting. Usually the goal is just surviving. So these are a little tricker, Peter has balanced the class/race/levels so that the game plays nicely. He's done quite a bit of playtesting.
Again if you're a little more explict in your comments, perhaps from playtested experience then options may present themselves.
In the mean time, Happy Questing!
P.S. there was talk of a play by email version of brickquest that Peter was going to run. reply if interested.

As for modular dungeons, even if you can build a small module, getting together with other players can make for some great dungeon. I'm for some brickquest at our European CC meet, I'll bring the dungeon modules anyone else up for it?
Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs

The question was really more, do you want to play (with other people from here and elsewhere) rather than do you want to organise a group of people to play...Interested, but I might not be able to get some people to play.P.S. there was talk of a play by email version of brickquest that Peter was going to run. reply if interested.
To play all you'd need to do is email me an ldraw file of your character.
Label it with the character's name and the class/race combo from the Brickquest rules and we'll work from there.
Peter is Peter Guenther, the guy who wrote the Brickquest ruleset.P.S.: Who's Peter?
That just takes away the fun. Dungeon building is what I love more than actually playing BrickQuest.Danielas wrote:for the dungeon you could use wood blocks or books it dosnt halve to be lego

also you can make some pretty good strutchers with wood blocks if you look at my brick shelf (you may half to click profile) most of my brick wars are wood blocks. shure they may not be as verstile but if you don't halve enof to make a massive dungen or fortress (or you just don't whant to take stuf apart ) they work
God Bless. Danielas
