My thinking is this. All of the skellies serve the evil wizard. His main general is this guy:
since he's commanding the attack in King's Castle Siege (pretty comparable to the chief Nazgul in the siege of Minas Tirith). Next in line comes this guy:
I'd actually be tempted to make him the main general due to cooler armor, but the other one definitely has the main role in the Siege set, while this guy is off doing single combat. Under them we have the black and white skellies. White ones are the basic soldiers, and I see the black ones as either low level officers, or perhaps some sort of special ops soldiers.

Re: who commands the skeletons on the field
I usually don't wait for LEGO, I would look at all the figures in the line and mix & match torsos, heads, and legs until I have what I need. But then I wouldn't mind if LEGO wanted to add a "leader type."Danielas wrote:do you think Lego should make a general who actually leads the bad guys on the battlefield???

My LEGO figures keep me from being evil, drat!!

I concur with Bruce. I assumed that guy was the field commander. With the black skeletons as his lieutenants.

I consider the one from the Joust set to be the general, while the black skellies have special jobs like chariot driving and explosive setting.
The white ones are just expendable footmen to me.

well...i customized my skeleton army. i have a back story for the undead army. the necro raised a powerful lord who became the death knight. it's the death knight who leads the undead army but it's the necro who raised the undead army. so the two together form the leadership of the undead army.
this death knight wears the vladek's visor and the speckled armor (in the same color as the visor). also i used a black jawa head. makes it look so much meaner to just have glowing eyes and no "facial" features.
the other undeads are just serving this death knight. i prefer the vladek's visor over the angled helmet to make the "TOP" guy stands out more. plus vladek's visor is just so cool.

Those are all great thoughts, but do the skeletons have enoff brains to actually lead an army. (No there just bones! But maby they are covered in enoff magic...)
I don't think so but perhaps there are objections???

Well, in a reasonable world, the presumes the existance of magic, I would have to say that skeletons lack the necessary organs for any sort of volition or independent action. Thus, they would all have to be controlled by the wizard. Which would be rather hard on the old guy.
