Bows

Post by Jansen »

Dear LEGO,

A minifigure accesory I, and some others probably, would like to see a increase in the frequency they appear currently is the longbow. You use it in one set now, and that also happens to be the most expensive set. To do this, it would require no new mold. Just phase out most, not all, of those ugly pearl silver crossbows.

What does everyone else think?

I agree wholeheartedly! More bows, please! And more quivers! Golly, I love those. :D

I like both as well. Many armies used both why not lego ones. I was hoping the troll/orc army would use bows myself. I was sort of sad to see them with crossbows.

I just would like to see more sets, smaller ones perhaps with bows. Maybe a troll archer set?

what do you guys think of another bow type?

I'm either thinking a composit bow <though you can use a set of horns for this.> or a minifig length longbow?

Yes, I would like to second the notion of an Orc archer set, either with a new bow or the old one.

All I have are crossbows, and I too would really like more regular bows and quivers.

More of the longbows, definitely. Hopefully with the upcoming elves in 2009, we'll see a return of the classic bow and quiver.

I think a standard bow no arrow and a long straight-bow no arrow would be nice additions to the Lego© inventory.

Yeah Voran thats what I think. We already have access to alternative bows. I just want the old ones back. I'd prefer a waist quiver as there is little indication they used back quivers in the medieval period. In the end if they rerelease the back quiver I'd almost be just as happy though!

You can use the back quivers as waist quivers. I've done that more than once.

I'm praying the Indy bag in the prototype image turns out to be a new quiver design. Anybody with me?

I just put it over one of the leg studs. I can't think of why that would cause a problem...I'll get back to you on that this afternoon when I'm back from classes.

Speaking of which: 9:48! I'm gonna be late! Gotta run!
