Question: How do you link a picture?

Post by Hob Took »

I've serached and can't seem to find anything on the subject, so here it is, how do you create an image that is a link? I know how to create each separately, but I don't know how to create them together. Any help would be greatful.

Any photo you're linking to MUST end in a .jpg. It's that file name that designates a photo.

For example, this is a link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10279741@N ... 337787845/

But this is a link to an actual photo:
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/124/3471 ... 354ef7.jpg

Look carefully: the second link ends with a .jpg.

Does that make more sense?

You can't have searched very hard, because in the admin announcements thread, which everyone should have read, I've got a huge post on the subjects of images, including images as links.

This is an old post. I think it was posted before you posted that.

 Oops, my bad. Why did this thread come back to life, then? Ah, well, I should pay more attention.

Bruce
It came back to life because I was trying to follow the instructions to post a picture.

PNGs work as well, and, while larger, are non degrading, and so last longer.

Sorry for being off topic!
