JoshWedin-

A Lego Jambalaya is a box full of parts that gets sent around to various people. Each person takes out stuff they want and puts in things they don't need. One AFOL's trash is another AFOL's treasure!

The Rules:

Who:
Any established member of Classic-Castle. What do I mean by "established"? Someone who has been here a while. For this I am going by post count. You need to have at least 45 posts. That's an arbitrary number, but I think it does the job.

Where:
Anywhere in the world. This is a bit different from most Jabalaya's but it will work. I will be starting the box and making the list. It will go to all the non-US people on the list first, make its way back to the US, then back to me.

When:
Very soon. The last day to sign up will be Friday, May 16th. I plan to ship out the box next Saturday or Monday.

What:
Any Lego pieces, in good condition, that can be used in a Castle creation. Most of us have lots of stuff laying about that we don't use.

How much:
Take whatever you want, but you have to put enough back in to make it up. For instance, if you take 50 dark gray euro armors you can't dump in a pound of blue 2x4 bricks. It doesn't work that way and you will mess it up for everyone else. Take what you need and try to surprise the next person on the list.

Shipping:
You need to keep this on the move. If you can't get this back out in a timely manner, please don't sign up. Depending on how much people put in, shipping isn't going to insignificant. This is not for getting cheap Lego. It is for the fun experience of trading with many people from distant places.

Edit: I forgot about addresses. After you post that you want "in", make sure you PM me with your physical address.

So, go ahead and sign up in this thread. I will create the list and administrate the whole shebang. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here or send me a Private Message.

Have fun!
Josh

PS. I have taken part in these before, but I have never run one. I probably left stuff out of the rules. If so, please let me know.

Would it make sense to have a two boxes, one European and one for North America and the rest of the world? This could cut down shipping cost and time to receive the bricks.

That may be a really good idea. I'll wait and see how many people sign up. If it stays around ten people, one box will work. Much more than ten and it can get cumbersome.

Thanks,
Josh

Edit: How will we know who to send it too after we have recevied it?
It's not what you say it's how you say it.
