A horse of a different color

Post by Quickblade22 »

In a recent topic, I saw the discussion about the lack of brown horses compared to those of black or white. What I got to thinking was, why is there only those choices of colors when there are so many to choose from. I particularlly would like to see more colors in this element. Both the light and dark bley would be great in my opinion. I also think that tan and the new dark tan would look great. The new dark brown is dying to be used on a horse as well. I can't imagine it would be that big of a deal for TLC to do this. Different prints and patterns would be great as well, but the simplest change would be good enough. I think it's time to update the horse without ruining what we have all loved for so long, so who's with me?

Excellent idea about more colors.

As for prints and patterns: Natural markings in skin and coat, yes. Anything else, like bardings, equipment and such, no!

A dark brown horse (or any other colour really) would be awesome, but I'm personally against any other print than what we already have, it just reduces versatility

Natural markings, manes etc. are a lot more versatile than what we have now (bridles).

A dark brown, or dark bley horse would be excellent.

Printing I could go either way. I like the current one but, I could be convinced if I saw someone make a convincing print that TLG would be able to make.

I would certainly love to see LEGO broaden their horizons in this area. 8)

Probably only so for different horse colors, and not so much on new prints.

I agree with Aaron. The only horses that would be nice to see would be a pale one and a red one, for my new Four Horsemen figs.

Ok, scrap the print idea. I would like to see the current face with bridle pattern, but I also want the mane to be a different color. I can see people using the dark bley one for a pack animal. A pale one would be great, maybe in glow-in-the-dark? I can't see using red for anything other than a four horseman MOC. That's actually the horse I'm gonna be riding when I grow up :P I think the need for more horse colors is clear (not the color clear).
