Dang, that crystal zword looks mighty sweet! Wish I could somehow justify that one to myself, not to mention my wife.

There's a transparent light-blue spear, and all those Jayko figures out there...
Yeah. I've got a couple of those and was planning on making an ice fortress. Never got around to it though.

I was thinking more clear than that. More like the transblue spear mentioned above.

This is actually 'glow in the dark opaque', and it's a cool part... pricey on Bricklink, too.

I support this.

Particularly, it would be nice to see Lego put them out during a winter season... such as, say, creating one or two castle related ice sets. Full body transparent minifigures as "Ice Elementals" perhaps??

Pieces worthy of exposure (perhaps as a set):
Transparent Clear Baseplate 16x16
Transparent Clear modified plate 'Teeth' 1x2
Transparent Clear carrots
White flower stems and trans light blue flowers
Assorted transparent brick and perhaps some frosted transparent brick.
Wide triple wedge plates and assorted white slopes to create 'snow fort walls'.
Dark Green spruce tree, large and small.
Trans clear minifigure.
Trans purple armors?
lots and lots of transparent plates in sizes 2x or larger

Ever since seeing that prototype skellie horse pic on Brickshelf a long while back; the Trans-clear one, with a trans-clear fig as the rider, I have wanted a completely transparent minifig.

The Ice Elemental idea would certainly be a great showcase of such a fig. In my eyes, a few transparent minifigs would have much potential. Great for Ghosts and other spirits, in winter MOCs as ice sculptures, and would also be a cool thought for me, as a customizer, for some nifty custom figs (Think Sue Storm.).

Trans-clear minifig hands alone have great building potential in detailed MOCs. I bet you could attach them to lots of things to give the look of icicles. 8)

Is this pic still around?

Great idea Amanda for the trans clear figs. I'd also love to see "ice" like pieces made for MOCs. I hadn't thought about a trans-light purple before, but it's a great idea. Those glow-in-the-dark daggers are awesome too. I own 2 of them. I'd love to see a glow-in-the-dark sword. I had a He-Man sword when I was a kid that was G-I-T-D and thought it was the coolest. I'm glad this has garnered so much interest.

"Is this pic still around?"

Indeed it is. With a bit of searching, I found it, and two other pics (One of which I had yet to see before, actually.).

If you haven't seen it before, Dano, I would advize you to take a nice deep breath, and to sit back in your seat so as to not fall off the edge.

Complete awesomeness

The second pic I have just seen for the first time. Looks very nice. My favorite is the "complete Awesomeness", lots of awesome goodness on the fig (The blade is a perfect "Ice" Weapon example). Mmmm..! :P

Wow, I'm speechless...
We need to have an article or thread with pics of all the cool stuff like this.

I think there might be two or three threads with those pics already. Thing is, though, that they're buried somewhere deep. As the simple fact that Amanda is saying "ever since I saw..." denotes, these images have floated around for a long time. I'm not at all sure, but I think the crystal skeleton horse prototype might go back to about the time KK2 first came out.

Perhaps we should have a stickied one somewhere.

Indeed. When I just looked it up, I think the thread from MCN which I found it in was from mid-2004 or so (Explains the 18,000+ views on that single pic); which is somewhere around the time I remember seeing the pics.

Originally, I saw the pics over here in a topic somewhere, but as you say, it is buried somewhere by now.

Anywho, I fear I am drifting away from the topic at hand.. So I guess I'll end my jibber-jabber now.
