1990 Lamborghini Diablo

Post by Jake, of the Palace Guard »

Hello, once again I present a car. A red car. This time, it's the Lamborghini Diablo!

Image

Some general views: front 3/4, rear, side.

The headlights can pop up, as seen here: down and up.

The gullwing doors can also open, upwards(!): closed and open. The door itself.

The interior can also be seen here, here and here.

The boot can open, seen here, and the engine therein is visible. (But not very, it's a tad blurred.)

There is also an attatchable spoiler, so that it can mimic the 1993 special edition model, even from the rear.

Finally, a shot of all movable bits moved. I hope you like it, comments are welcomed here or on Flickr!

Unfortunately I'm not a big fan for studs on lego cars, so I can't say I particularly like the top section. The use of the 1X2 one studded tile is very good, and fits in well for a mirror. The side is also great, in that you made the shape of the door well, and the opening and closing feature is ingenious. All in all, I can't build a lego car anywhere near this quality.

Beautiful! Scissor doors! Pop up headlights! The shape! The color (and here's me not even liking red—most of the time...)! I love Lamborghinis (only Lotus is better). Great job.

@ Blue: I, personally, really like the studded look on this.

Oh, and about the steering column, how about one of these? They're about the same diameter.... But if you meant for the actual column itself, not the wheel, I don't have any ideas. Sorry.

Learning French.

Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

I'm a Pumpkin.
