Matt BeDar wrote:Fire and I mainly do castle battles since both of us have a large enough amount of castle figs for a battle. Usually, for the smaller battles, it'll take Fire and I about 2-3 hours for a 150 point battle. The larger the armies, the longer it takes to kill each other. Although it is really fun to see 2 big armies clash head on and start slaughtering each other.
If you have a room where you can leave things untouched overnight, you could wage war for days with a big enough army and detailed enough battle system. Those are the best battles!
The problem with me is I have a big army and I love making modular dungeons as well, but I have no one living close to me who plays Brikwars. So if I do play it's always short cause I'm visiting someone further away or someone is visiting me, so firstly we can't really take big armies with us, and secondly we can't leave a battle standing around for days.

I have had two Brikwars. One was medium-scale. Three 100 point armies. The space we were on was kind of small, so it only took one evening.

My second was a little larger. Three 150 point armies. (it was a really small table.) That took two evening, but that was because my friend was being a bonehead with the jetpack (a problem which has since been remedied.)

I didn't have diverse amounts of castle weapons at the time, so it was sort of a combination of castle, modern, and future. Basically, any weapon you wanted was good.

What do you guys think about siege equipment like catapults and cannons? Can they be too overpowered?

And I live in Ohio, and I have several friends who like to play, but I'm the only one who has a LEGO collection...kind of a pain...

God bless.

Tom

Well, fire and I have used many off-the-wall rules for siege engines and still haven't found a perfect balance. Most of the time the cannons are to powerful or not worth it.

Fire and I have had many small and large battles. At on point we had a massive all out battle where we each used everything we had, medieval,. modern and future. I won that battle due to my artillery completely wiping out his Play-Mobil soldiers.

Yep we've used Play-Mobil in Brikwars but only once. It didn't end to well for them. They were on Fires' side.

Just simply targeted the bridge. Not that hard when you've got a large artillery force along with a nice sized fleet of ships. Any who, you destroyed most of my ships before I even got a shot off at your Star Destroyer.

Didn't I also kill you walker thing by shooting off the cockpit? Ahhh, fun times, fun times :D .

2) brikwars.com
3) saber-scorpion.com (I'm Arthur Bulor there)

that's all the lego sites that I'm a member of in the order that I joined.

Firebender, was it an official star destroyer? Or was it your own build?

You guys sound like you had a lot of fun.

God bless.

It was an official set. It was fun killing it although it got my artillery in a bad spot after words. My entire fleet was handmade. One of my bigger ships had a missile rack with six missiles. I managed to use all six before it was blown up by his own ship. By ship I mean space ship of course.

I think it took us three or four days to do that battle. We spent about four or five hours each day on the battle, so about 20 hours in all.

Edit: Right now it's 11p.m. where Fire and I live so Fire's probably sleeping. I on the other hand will most likely be on till midnight. Nothing else for me to do really. Fire still had school so he won't be staying up this late. Heh, poor him. :D

I don't use points for my battles. Instead, we sit in my friend's room assembling random amounts of minifigs and vehicles with ridiculous weapons on them. I always end up destroying him in the first few turns with the chain reactions from exploded vehicles.

heh. In the giant battle Fire and I had, we didn't use points at all. We used everything that we could scrap together and call a unit. We even used Bionicles and Knights Kingdom AF(action figures).

I had a whole force of Bionicle and KK figures. I think it totaled about twenty. Although most of them were killed in the first ten turns. Most on the right flank due to Fire's tanks and artillery.
