Yes, I remember breaking through your lines. Didn't I also take out the center with that huge uber-catapult?
Woe is me, woe is me, I used to have a hamster tree. Then it got eaten by a newt and now I have no cuddly fruit.

Ah, uber catapults. You can take out an entire flank with just one shot...

He took out three giants with one shot. Although he couldn't kill them fast enough to stop my spider golems from swarming his center. Nor could he kill my minifigs that were trailing behind my giants. Our front lines met and then killed each other. Then our figs met and I swarmed him. Mostly because by that point I had taken out his star destroyer and most of his fighters. Fun battle over all.

Sounds fun. You should take pics of your next battle, and post them here, like FrySlayer's old ones.

If I scraped together everything I could possibly build, from any and all eras...well, I wouldn't have anyone to fight. Having the only lego collection for dozens of miles doesn't help things.

In all seriousness, at this point I'd have to have my battles be based on the point system. I'm a real stickler for fairness. Mostly because I don't want things to be unfair in my opponent's favor. Maybe one day...if I meet someone with an equally large collection who lives within any reasonable distance, I will have such a war.

God bless.

I don't like the point system. I think, that it would be more realistic to have two opposing forces have an unequal number of troops/equipment. Also, I have the same problem as you. Though there are collectors in my area, none of them are my age, and few of them are serious to the point of having a brikwar.

Most of the time Fire and I will use the point system. We usually have 150-400 point battles. We both have enough troops to fill up those points as well so we're evenly matched most of the time.

Yes, it's more realistic, but I prefer fairness over realism. At least in a normal game. In certain games where one side has a tactical advantage (i.e. they hold a strategically defensible position, they only need to survive a certain number of rounds, etc.) then unfairness should be weighed in.

And different eras will have different sorts of unfairness levels. For instance, in the castle era, how much of a distance would five swordsmen make? It's not enough to make or break a game. Take the modern era then. How about five guys with long-range rifles? That has a bit more "oomph" if you know what I mean.

And I'm probably not making any sense, so I am going to quit while I'm ahead.

God bless.

Tom

EDIT to avoid the fiendish double-post: I've had a thought percolating in my head for a while. Do you guys treat dwarves and other diminutive beings different from a regular minifig? If so, how?

God bless.
