The Bard's Tavern

Post by Voran_the_Scholar »

Well, here is a little MOC I whipped up this afternoon.

Teaser.

This MOC was built solely so I could use the dragon head I got with the chess set for something. Since all I had was the head and a green tentacle, I decided it should poke through the window. It was going to be a single-floored room, but imagination kicked in and I just went from there. I call it the Bard's Tavern. It is a place where creatures of every race, calling, and creed can come together in peace...well...all but one.

EDIT: I completely forgot to post the gallery! Here it is.

Comments and criticism are always appreciated. Advice as how to improve is even more so appreciated. :)

All glory to God!

God bless.

Tom

Hehe! Great little MOC there. I really like how packed in it is, and the side-stories fo the dragon drinking from the barrel and the dwarves dealing with the Binks.

Well done.

I really don't know what to say about this, other that GREAT JOB! I think that those dwarves have the right idea, throughing that dude out of the window. and the window is the highest up, too! I also like how all the people on the bottom floor seem (IMO) to be drunk.

Other than that, the only thing thing I can say is, keep up the good work!

I can see why the binks is gatting tossed but is the Crown Knight getting tossed as well? Looks very nice, I can hear the noise and merriment just looking at it. I see you have your sig fig in there as well.

Hey Voran,

This is terrific! Everybody packed in tight really helps sell the atmosphere of a VERY popular place, and all the different poses really make each figure & scene stand out. I just LOVE the dragon drinking from the barrel through the window! Got a huge belly laugh out of that! Of course, the shenanigans on the third floor are a smile as well!

My only suggestion would be a little bit brighter lighting and perhaps using a tripod for better focus. You've done a lot of terrific interior detailing and I'd like a closer look!

I wouldn't want to be hanging around those dwarves. Look at what they're doing to their unexpected visitors.

I've been wanting one of those scaredy heads for a long time. I finally got one, and I needed a way to use it. Let's just say that you don't want to disturb Dwarf social events.

Thanks for the advice, Mr. S. Unfortunately, we don't have a tripod, and I'm still learning the best way to use lighting. I will see if I can get some better close-ups.

God bless.

This is awesome- a nice interior full of small detail and plenty of humour.

Nice one! :D

This is pretty cool. It's a great use of an otherwise useless dragon-less head.

Nice job! The chains on the second floor adds realism, and who wouldn't want to see Jar Jar disposed of? :D

Awesome stuff! Very lively :D
I like all the little things going on everywhere, and the entourage is great as well.
It seems dwarfs are taking over the top floor. Serves Jar-Jar right!

Sweet little scene you have made there! More than enough detail to distract the eye, and it certainly feels like a den of inequity. I especially like the arch detailing on the lowest floor.
Keep up the cool work.
