I made note of something the other day, and it got me curious. The skeletons have a ship. The trolls have a ship. How interested would you be in seeing a crownie naval contingent? If LEGO made a decent ship for the human knights, would that be something you'd be interested in purchasing? What size would you want it to be...flag ship size? smaller? Downright wee?
[Edit: Thanks for moving this thread, by the way...my bad. ]

I would definitely drop 100$ or more for a ship worthy enough to fight some Pirates. Having Skeleton ships and Troll ships are OK, but Pirates are a force to be reckoned with. A crownie ship would have to meet the high standards of (at least) Black Seas Barracuda, Skulls Eye Schooner, or Red Beard Runner.
Somebody must fight the Pirates! The skeletons seem so.... shallow & empty. Skins not thick enough. Superfluous.
I'd love a large crownie ship provided it had some original design. I.e. i'm tired of the blueprint in use since the viking ship, ballista, mast and oars, cage, small rear deck.
I'd like to see the old bow sections used, a nice fore and aftcastle, something big and 'royal' like the castle. THAT would get me to drop 100!
Just to have a more simplified view to my LEGOverse, I keep the big ships in the Pirate world and only have smaller no cannon trading ships in the "Castle" world. For me the main draw of the "Pirate" world is the ships. To have big ships in the "Castle" world would copy Pirate themes and shift focus off the castles, fortresses, wizard towers, etc, etc.
I like having small ships to add futher detail to a faction or nation to show it's complexity(or not). Small trading groups that us those small ships are cool, but it's the noble kings/queens, evil tyrants/wizards, good wizards, merchants, town mayors, farmers/peasants, armies, castles, and stories to explain it all that are the main components of my Castle world.

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely!
Despise learning and make everyone pay for your ignorance.
The water that floats a ship is the same that sinks it.
I voted for a small ship. I like the old Viking Voyager and Sea Serpent. This all comes from the fact that I prefer historical castle rather than fantasy stuff. There was not much ship to ship combat during the early middle ages, ships mainly moved men around and warships were primarily used for raiding parties. Even if you like the more fantasy centered stuff a true warship makes little sense, in Tolkien's wrtitings (and most other fantasy stuff) ships are used as transports for adventurers and Elves, not as warships.
I think a Cog like the Sea Serpent (or maybe a little bigger) is a perfect fit for a small warship/merchant that could be used for raiding or trading. A small row ship, like the Viking Voyager, would be nice for inland trading or river raiding. There has been and will be a pirate theme which focuses on warships, lets keep castle focused on castle, but include some smaller seafaring interests like in classic castle. I wouldnt want to see a repeat of the little Viking boat (with two row boats put back to back), although an interesting design, I really do not like the way it compares with the older ships.[/url]
Castle ships are always a nice addition to the line. I do, however, think the largest set should be a fortress of some sort (it is castle after all). A troll village or fort would have been a lot better (and made more sense) than the troll ship.

Agreed. I wouldn't mind a ship no larger than the Sea Serpent.
I agree that small-to-medium sized ships add a bit of interesting variety to a Castle line, but for the big sets, I'd prefer a well-designed castle/fortress/keep over a larger ship any day of the week.
While I would have been more open to the idea of larger ships a few months back, with the arrival of Pirates just around the corner, that's the line where larger ships are most appropriate.
Still, Castle ships are certainly an ongoing subtheme within the Castle theme, and I'd personally love to see it continue.

For no one, no one in this world can you trust. Not men, not women, not beasts. This you can trust.

I voted for a medium sized boat. But what I'd really like to see is a base for the orcs. All they have is a boat to live on, but I suppose that is a different topic.
While I may be biased coming from a Pirate Lego background, I've always liked Lego ships of any kind, historical or semi-historical ones particularly. I would love to see the Crownies get a ship too - a large one preferably, like a carrack, although a smaller one would be nice too.
It's nice to see Lego coming out with more ships for the castle line, IMO.
I would love to see a relatively large crownie ship, the crownies would fit right in with my current factions, and I need some decent ship hulls for my collection, anything more than $80 might be a problem though.
