My first ever moc to upload!

Post by Teherean »

Here's my first ever moc to upload to brickshelf or annything. It's an older one, I just wanted to see if it worked.
The pictures are only few and are badly made, but the tower itself wasn't that bad at all. It is supposed to be a citadel or something to maintain control over a densely forested area near the northwestern falconian coast.
Also in this moc: my first ever attempt at detailed environement (pictures included). It includes a small river and some rock formations. I have created better rocks and waters scince, but it has been a great learning experience.
Tell me what you think! and what would really be helpful are photography tips. I'm pretty sloppy (you can see half my feet throug the glass table in one of the pictures)
What am I brabbeling! enjoy!

Maybe you don't know this; on Brickshelf, when you upload something, it has to be approved by a moderator before the gallery is made accessible to the public.

When you post stuff in here that isn't public yet, you should include deeplinks that lead directly to the image (keep clicking the image until you can't click it anymore, then copy the url).

I love the use of the cape as water flowing out of a barrel; I'll definitely will use that!

For the love of all that is good and holy, please re-size your pictures! After waiting about 15 seconds for the first pic to even load, I just gave up and started writing this. I'm not the only one brother, that will be impatient that way but most won't give you the advice. Re-size to a nice e-mail size and you will get more views, thus giving you more feedback. :D

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

There are a lot of good elements in this Castle. I like the way you did the landscaping, and I like your placement of men around the keep.

Might I suggest making the green bare parts of the platform a little more interesting, such as adding a path/road, or some ground plants and shrubs. Your rocks are nice, but they are a little bare as well. I would suggest beefing up your landscaping in general just to make the view more interested in what you have to show.

You keep is nice, and I like your effort with the black wall.

Hey ya guys! thanks for all the great reviews.
I've been grambling through my laygoes upstairs, and found some more vegetation wich I used for my new landscape at my new moc. It'll be up in 4 days because I'll be in Germany for some time.

More (detailed) pictures coming up soon!
