Imperial Barracks

Post by kris kelvin »

My lastest MOC :)
I do not know if fits here because I used gunpowder, guns, and muskets.
So if it doesn`t fit here move it to "General Lego"
Gallery - http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=347917
Enjoy :)

That's a great MOC kris. Man there are some great builders on this site. I love how you have done the brickwork, that is really neat, and the ladder over the roof is a nice touch. The cannons are really nicely done, I like the use of tracks over the wheels, there are some really cool details in this. I see you don't have a problem with mixing brown and frown, it gives a very nice effect to the wooden roof and doors.

Very nice, Kris. Naturally, I love the brickwork, the cannon wheels, etc. But I really like the officer's uniforms.

Had to blog it.

Josh

PS. I did move it to General though. ;)

Its very nice, realistic and very well detailed, I like the structure of the cannons and the sheds they are in, as i dont think anyones ever realised that barracks need such a thing
If you are reading this it means I have posted! - congratulate your find and remember this day

I love the overall effect, as well as all of the details, especially the brick-built pantaloons. Thank you very much for sharing this.

That's a lot of brickwork there, pardon the pun  . I really like the brick built doors all around, and the mix of old brown and the new more orangish brown on the roof has a nice effect. The table supports are a genius idea, I must remember that. The ground has a lot of items on top of it, but the ground itself is rather plain. I don't know if this was what you wanted it being a military base, but I would've liked to have seen a little more difference in the terrain. There, that's my nitpick for the day.

Great job! When I first saw the bricks they looked like stickers, they were that good!

Thank`s all for kind words :)
The inspiration was Warhammer`s Fantasy Battle fraction - Empire. I especially love its handgunners and cannons.
But my dream is to build Empire`s steamtank.

AWESOME! The detailing is fantastic. And I love the figs.

One criticism, the white and black figs in the middle have flesh hands...
