Castle Masterworks 6: Castle Interiors

Post by Blueandwhite »

Castle Masterworks 6: Castle Interiors

Keeping with the spirit of the previous masterworks threads I am again inviting members to choose five of their favourite castle interiors. I would again ask for as much participation as possible. The idea is to compile a comprehensive list of masterworks which could then be passed on to a mod and possibly stickied for easy reference. Again, I thank you all for your participation.

As with earlier threads, please don't vote for your own work. Given that participation in the later threads has been a tad lackluster, you can choose more than five MOCs if you really feel that the MOCs you've selected are truly masterpieces.

Previous threads:

Castle Masterworks 1: Towers
Castle Masterworks 2: Village Life
Castle Masterworks 3: Brick Built Beasts
Castle Masterworks 4: Medieval Transportation
Castle Masterworks 5: Castles

My selections:

1. Wizrd Tricks/Evil Wizard Tricks (Mr. TS)

2. Scenes from the life of Dr. Martin Luther (Jojo)

3. Medieval bathhouse (Dark Spawn)

4. Catacombs/Church (Stone Goblin)

5. Castle Interiors (Jens)

Rather new here, but I've been a lurker for awhile.

You might want to consider asking the admins or mods to sticky one topic with links to all these Castle Masterworks topics. I think that would help alot of newcomers(Myself included.) aswell, especially the ones that come here after these topics have faded away and died.

I think these topics are good ones, keep up the good work!

Once this project has sort of run its course I'm going to (with Blueandwhite's permission) turn this list into a linked article to include under the "creations" section of the site.

I've always liked the realisticly spartanic interiors of the castle themed custom sets by Dan Siskind, like in his Tower of Vlad Dracula:

Just a thought on the Masterworks project.

It's awesome that when it runs out of steam, you guys will be permanently linking to the lists so that newcomers (and old-comers who don't get around enough to see all the great creations) have a neat spot to go to and learn from, get inspired by, or just appreciate great buildings.

So how about a Castle Master Works: Forestmen ... or Castle Master Works: Dragon Masters.

So far the categories have been divvied up basically like the categories we get in the CCC contests, but how about some love for Classic factions!

Heck, even Castle Master Works: Jelly Bean Knights! I'm sure somebody out there has done something great with them (I seem to recall a "forest ambush" scene with a host of Green Jelly armored troopers marching up a hill ... or was it purple? One of the cooler outdoor scenes I've seen, and mostly because of the use of Jelly Beans in mass numbers.

Other than that, I can't say enough for collecting favorites into master works lists - I've never really had a ... "dark age" ... but I'm not very up to snuff on building techniques and love having quick access to great inspiration.

I'm glad you like this project. Currently I've put the project on hold for the CCC VI. Once the contest is complete (and judged) I intend to add more categories. The ultimate goal is to hand this off to Bruce in order to make a single sticky so that these threads can easily be found by newer members. There are too many amazing MOCs that are simply forgotten.
