Everyone's making swords now. Guess that means it's my turn...

So this medieval sword's made from careful work over a few months. Not very hard work, come to that, but still some work. It's merely a very heavily modified PlayMobile sword with the hilt removed. The cutting work started in March. Hopefully I'll be able to get my resin casting working and it'll look better.

And, if not, I've got one awesome prototype! :D
I, in another topic wrote: that longsword. It looks faintly play-mobile-ish,

Wow, nicely done! I was dissapointed when I found out it was play-mobil though. Still, your doing pretty well! :D

Thanks for sharing with us!

Disappointed how? That I didn't sculpt it? Because that's very hard. I tried this out and found chipping away at PM's sword much easier and, of course, it produced better results.

Thanks anyway!

Yes, I guess I see what you mean by better results.

When I first saw it I thought,"Wow, did he sculpt that? Awesome!".
When I found out it wasn't sculpted, but it was playmobil, I was dissapointed.

Sorry if I dissapointed you. I guess since I've never tried to sculpt a custom weapon, I didn't know how hard it was, or how possible it was to make a good looking one. I still thought it might be hard though.

I guess I overeacted when seeing the new BA swords!

Ah, well. Regardless, swords are very hard to sculpt; Will designs them in some sort of program, anyway, I don't think he sculpts any. If he does, he'd be working for Hasbro....

I think the sword looks really good. If I used the word "dissapointment" it would be because I had hoped that someone had found another way to make those not-so-great-looking KK Zwords look good. Cool job CG :)

Making your own sculpts is hard, but making those swords look good is impossible.

I like your sword!
