Behind the Veil, CCCCVI Secret Hideout entry

Post by I Scream Clone »

Here is my entry for the Classic Castle Secret Hideout section.

The Orc's have a hidden cave hideout which can only be accessed by damming the waterfall for a short period of time. On this occasion the Orc's have ambushed a small group of Crownies, taking them completely by surprise!

Enjoy

The Orcish scout pulls the dam closed and sends the signal to his comrades to attack!

Images resized, thanks. I only went off the competition page which mentioned max size of 800 x 600, my apologies.

Cheers and good luck to all the contestants

Nice. I especially like how you've made the waterfall and part of the river slightly at an angle to the rest of it, that's a really nice touch. The tiling of the riverbed is well done, also, and I definitely second praising the bridge.

I like your scene, but you might want to get a clarification on the rules. According to Architect's post on page four of the announcement thread you can only move figures around between shots in the Crime and Punishment and Miscellaneous categories. Since your scene involves this, you might want to consider submiting it to the Miscellaneous category instead.

very nice idea and well built. TLC should take inspiration from that and give us a set like this in 2009 :)

Thanks Handar for the advice on keeping the minifigs in the same positions. I have reshot the first pic with the knights in the same position as pic 3, and put the water back on the waterfall.

A secret base behind a waterfall isn't a new concept, but the Megablocks to shut off the water is a new onw for me. It's great! The underground lacks some of the character of the forest scene but otherwise a very good piece!
