Team Challenge team eligibilities - Josh is back

Hi all,

Remember the team challenge? Apparently some of you didn't. The rules say:
The winning team will have bestowed upon them a special forum rank, to be determined by their Team's Admin.

Any team who has one or more members who sign up but do not enter at least one entry to the CCCVI will be given the forum rank "Junior Gong Farmer" and will be disqualified.
Going through the team rosters and the entry lists (including the ones that have not been accepted yet due to problems with images), I get the following:

Edit Team Josh is back from the dead. Lord Azrael's entry had problems because he put it in when the entry page wasn't working yet. So the final team eligibilities are: Bruce vs Ben vs Josh.

It's a shame that this contest has been whittled down to just two teams. (Wait a second, I'm on one of those two teams!) :twisted:

I hope you will follow through with this Junior Gong Farmer business. People have had plenty of time to remind their teammates who voluntarily signed their names ;) And that way I get to be proud of being a team that actually made it to the finals, Team Ben vs Team Bruce!

ha, the junior gong farmer thing is pretty funny. you should definately do that.

However, I think its pretty harsh to disqualify a whole team just because one member didnt participate. Sure the teams that had some no-shows will be at a disadvantage but its still better than taking them out of the competition completely.

Also, some memebers might not have contributed because of reasons beyond their control; illness, ect... I think you should take that into consideration as well.

Finally, the competition would be rather boring if its just between 2 teams :lol:

I don't see that anywhere in either the accepted or pending entries. Did you enter this using the contest submission form, or did you just post it in the forum?

I tried the submission but my comp decided to die so I just posted it instead, should have said that in the post :/

I will give Jelmer and Wunztwice one week to defend why they did not enter the contest. Lord Azreal has already given his defense.

Remember, not finding the time is not a valid excuse to save yourself and your team.

After that time, if a suitable defense is not given, the team's disqualified status will remain, and all members will be given their "Junior Gong Farmer" title.

Nah, he was extremely busy and I'm sure he is very sorry for putting his team out of contention.

Welp, it's not much of an excuse but this is how little time I ended up having for anything LEGO: I still have not moved my BrickCon MOC from where I put it coming home early October. Considering my LEGO room is our living room too, and I have a small table to work on that kinda put me out of the running. I was gone most of December, and had to work extra in November (I still haven't finished (or really attempted to finish my VicViper for NoVVember, either). AND, on top of all of that my computer was out of commission for the last half of December...:roll:

Like I said, it's no excuse and I'm sure I could have mustered time to post one little retraction. I am sorry to put my team in such a position, and as a long-time member here I haven't lived up to the C-C standards expected of higher-post-type-folk.

This is an interesting developement, very interesting indeed, and made all the more so with the fact that Team Ben is now very much so in the lead. Pah, with only Team Bruce as competition, this'll be a walk in the park. (cracks knuckles and nods toward Team Bruce) Yah, I'm talking about you. :wink:
