I would like to be part of this year's meeting (if there is one), but it depends on where it will be held and how much fly will tickets cost (the price changes all the time). Flying to Windsor is probably too expensive for me, but it's a great location for castle fans (windsor castle!) and could be combined with a visit to london.

Well i checked with the Norwegian Airline service Norwegian, and for an example if i were to go sunday the 7 and go home Tuesday the 9 it would cost me 124$ or 886 Nok and that is not so bad.

Which month are you talking about? thats not so expensive, especially since Norwegian isn't the cheapest company.

I was talking about June.
EDIT: Ooh and one more thing th closest Airport Norwegian flew to was Stansted so you would have to find a away to Windsor from there.

It would have to be early june or july for me, since late june is Brickworld in Chicago which I also plan to go to, so it wouldn't be "the same weekend" as last year. But 7-9 june or somewhere around there could work.
I'll be sure to ask around among our European friends if there is interest to do this again this year, and I should probably start a new thread when there is enough interest as not to get people confused with the dates, because this one has the 2008 dates in it.

Looks like we've got at least 3 of us for this year, just judging by the discussion in this thread though, so we're getting places already

If you guys wouldn't mind asking around in chat or msn or whatever who else would be interested we can try to make it even more fun than last year (which is going to be hard, last year was awesome).

Aliencat I just thought you would like to know that the times that fit me the best are 2-4 of june or 7-9 of june.
Oh and 9-11 june also fits.

I just checked how much it would cost for me to fly to London, and it costs only about sixty dollars if i book now

The airport where that flight flies to is located one hour and 15 minutes by car from Windsor. I also looked for a place to stay, and the cheapest possibility i found costs 15 dollars per person per night, here is a LINK.
Aliencat, do you plan to rent a car again?
And castlelord, you should check ut Ryanair. You live in Oslo right? It costs about 500 to 800 KR to fly from Torp airport to Stansted aiport in the UK.

I think we should decide a date and book as soon as possible, the price of the fly tickets will probably soon go up.

No i do not live in Oslo i live in Skogn (Nord-Trondelag)

I agree the sooner we know when, where and how, the better, for booking tickets, a place to stay, and getting time off from work etc. Also, whenever/wherever, I do indeed plan to rent a car again because it proved such a great asset last year, so we can just get around without having to rely on public transport or pay for a taxi, whenever and wherever we want to go.

As you probably remember and/or read, Maedhros and I organized this together last year, and chance has it I'll be visiting Maedhros in Stockholm next weekend so I'll make sure we sit down and see what we can plan out and probably post a new thread on the forum with what we came up with, since this one still has last year's dates in the title and all the replies

Stay tuned, there should be more definite news next weekend!
