Sorry my friend, but being a Castle themed contest, entries will have to be in a medieval setting. Fantasy is allowed as well, it doesn't have to be historically accurate, but prehistoric is outside of the timeframe we're looking for, I'm afraid.Knight of Honor wrote:EDIT: Can it be from prehistoric or not?
Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs

Sounds like a great contest! I'll be sure to try and find time to think up an entry, though no guarantees!

Hey! This is a great contest idea! And even better yet, it seems do-able for me right now, as it doesn't require oodles of build time!

If a team is needed to perform your job, you can make a team or if the professional needs assistants, go ahead and add them in.shmails wrote:Can it be a group of people, or is it a lone worker you are looking for. Part two of my question, can it a professional and a few assistants?

This sounds like fun. I have an idea that I really like, and I can only hope that the constraints of time and what parts I own will allow me to do it justice!
Can I assume that if we build something that opens up to show an interior (e.g. Majisto's Workshop), it can be longer than 32 studs when opened?

Yes it can, as long as when closed, it doesn't exceed 32 studs in either direction.puddleglum wrote:Can I assume that if we build something that opens up to show an interior (e.g. Majisto's Workshop), it can be longer than 32 studs when opened?
Serious? I think you misunderstood the contest I'm kidding, welcome aboard, and I can't wait to see your first medieval MOC!Dr. X wrote:Awesome contest. I had never built a single serious Medieval MOC in my life before this contest, but I have now.
I can't think of a reason why not, so sure, go ahead. If you can pull it off in a cool way I'm all for itCheeseBrick wrote:Just a quick question, can we have more than one job included in our MOC, or is it limited to one?

Here's my entry, after a bit of polishing on the building:
The Meat Poker's Shop
Sir DeMarek of Sorkinshire, Master Meat Poker, runs a tenderizing shop in the village with his apprentice Lady Carla. Although he pokes meat with the utmost mastery, he is shunned in meat-poking circles for his strange practice of tenderizing in the buff.
