What's your favorite non-castle lego theme?

Post by jdigiovanna »

Okay, there might be some variation in first favorite theme but I'm just going to asume that everyones favorite is castle unless they say otherwise. So for those of you who dig space, town, or god forbid bionicle  Just say so. Here's mine.

My second favorite lego theme is the fan created theme, dun da da dun: Post Apocalypse. :) Sure the world has just ended but as long as your suffering through it with your legos everything will be fine. So far I do so much (unposted) castle building that my post apoc collection is just a side interest, but i hope to change that very soon.

I hope that we can all have some fun and maybe even expose some lego skeletons in the closet, but I urge you, even if its belleville we will all forgive you,

Jameson.

All themes are just parts for Castle.

Are there other themes than castle? :P

I'd say vikings! They go perfect with castle theme.

After that would be pirate theme... see reason for vikings with some changes to the pirate sets.

I don't really have a favorite non-castle theme, I only buy sets of other themes for the parts. I have built some pirate MOCs though, but those are quite close to castle.
I would like to try out some other themes, but it's expensive enough to buy parts for only one theme

There's other themes than Castle!?

PS. Probably Pirate for me, followed closely by Zombie.

:? Other themes??? I like to think of all LEGO "other themes" as Castle just pretending not to be Castle. Probably my favorite "other theme" is "Pirate".

I like the pirate theme right after castle, but I'm also a sucker for the city construction theme. I also like the SW theme before the sets all got ridiculously expensive.

I absolutely love every single theme! I even own some Clik-Its.

My favourite themes to build MOCs in:
1. Castle (more here)
2. Town (most specifically Modular Buildings)
3. Space (/sci-fi)

As for themes that are out right now, my favourites are:
1. Power Miners
2. Creator
3. Town (construction stuff mostly, I just can't get over my little-boy awe for construction machinery ;))

No castle in that list, I know, I was quite shocked when I read that too.

Of the new sets, I like the Pirates. There are some fun pieces and minifigures in those sets.

Of the older themes, I love the Western theme. It would make my decade if they gave up licenses and went back to the Old West! So many possibilities in that era for great sets.

Adventurers. Then town and pirates. Western and ninja are up there too. I'm pretty much into all historical themes...

As for currently out themes, Indy is nice. And some of the new town stuff (farm) is good too. The new pirates just really haven't done it for me though.

Yes people, there ARE more types than Castle. Why else do we have a General Lego forum?

I am not sure what my favorite type even is. I think it is a tie between Castle, Space, Pirates for first plcae, Town, Star wars, and Adventures for second place, and third place would have to be things like Aquazone, and Bionicle (Yes, I do like Bionicle. I even have a fair collection of it!)
