Yay! More artwork. 8)

That third one is exceptional! I think it's my second fave now. The proportions of the minifigs in your drawings is spot-on - I'm very impressed!

Love the dead Orc heads in the most recent one as well.

Lamanda....thanks...I just finished another drawing tonight after a week of no drawing. One of those busy weeks...where work seems to interfere with MY art. Funny how that works... This is my favorite so far.... It took a little over an hour to sketch and render...and then longer to adjust the contrast. My scanner is not working so I have to take digital pics and it's night right now..so the light bulbs really wash out the colors, the original is so much richer. Looking at it now, I should of made the orcs mouths open a little bit..I think I will go back and add a little ink to them. I hope you all enjoy, it was fun making Victor come to life with his new Blade.

Aww man, totally gruesome!

There's alot of great detail in this one. You seem to have a certain skill when it comes to drawing in the blood splatters and stuff, it always looks insanely awesome.

And don't even get me started with that wicked blade shattering through that Orc like it's nothing! That's the stuff of legend right there!

I know what you mean about the scanner trouble.. I need to get myself a new one as well. Taking digital pics of sketches and whatnot simply does them no justice at all (Though I must admit, you've done a swell job of it with these drawings).

After only recently finding this artwork, I must say I really admire it.
I love the concepts behind your work, and the gore put in them is strangely interesting.
Can't wait to see more artworks from you. :)

Voran, Lamanda and Triump, muchas gracias. I'm glad you guys like Voran, I'll keep drawing and posting.

It's funny because I hate horror movies and excess gore, but for some reason, the thought of innocent legos spilling blood seems amusing, maybe because it's fake. Although I had pondered whether the orcs/trolls should have green or black blood. I know it lord of the rings they have black blood. hmmm...these are all just sketches turned drawings, so I really am just trying stuff out.

I picture Vandershodden using whatever he can during a melee. Pitchforks, swords, hammers, bricks, yes...even fruits and veggies. A true brawler! A more comical and less gory look at victor.

Another Saturday night...

Post by Thor »

The royal army was engulfed by the orc and goblin hordes, on the plains of Dinas Dihn, defeat loomed over the knights protecting the kingdom and it's people. Untill one knight shouted out, look there on the horizon. Victor Von Vandershodden and co. attacked the flank of the dark army, and cut a path through to the knights and fought straight for six days untill every orc and goblin who did not flee was dead. It was the battle of Dinas Dihn, and the legend of Victor Von Vandershodden began to grow.

You must be proud to have descended from such a colorful line of killer pesants.

I really like your latest drawing with Voran posing with his weapons: a pitchfork, carrot, and oversized sword. You did good work on the shadowing of the legs and the brighter areas give it a great plastic feel. Keep it up! Or else...

Some more great drawings!

I too love the most recent one, with Victor posing with an array of weapons (That carrot is certainly lethal enough to be deemed so)!

The silhouette battle scene is brilliant!

"and a Hobbit (i'm reading it right now) inspired Goblin sketch...."

Hey cool, I just started reading that, too.
What's really shameful is that I've never read any of those books, but my Brother took all his books out of his room, so I snagged The Hobbit and decided to finally read it.

More Drawings

I started making a card game last year and some kids really got into it, and I'm gearing up to sell some again this April. So I spent three hours making characters and weapons and thought you Castle fans could use them for inspiration for Lego Minifigs...and I decided to make of couple of minifig cards ...he ...he... the kids will like that! Enjoy
