I thought the General forum was for posting pics of your medieval Generals....isn't that what everyone else is using it for?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that is not what the General Lego forum is for. And you should know, YOUR the admin, not me.

here is a pic of my medieval general:

But seriously, my favorite current theme besides castle is pirates. I also like some of the Indy sets and my kid is pretty big into Star Wars so I get a fair amount of those too.

I'd have to go with Pirates followed closely by classic space. I was originally a Space fan before the internet made being a Space Lego fan less cool that being a Castle fan  Until a few years ago, I dabbled in most themes. It wasn't until recently that I began to focus on Castle. My fininacial resources don't give me the option to embrace other themes as broadly as I have in the past. Here's the part where I commend the staff and members of this site for the way they handle themselves and making castle my number 1 priority and favorite theme.

Based on the hilarious exchange above, I present this verse: written in 2 seconds:

"I am the very model of a medieval plastic general,"
"I've information ABS, construction brick, and..."

Sorry, couldn't think of something that rhymed with general that fit.

Onto the topic of discussion! I thought I'd break it all down based on a couple things:

2nd favorite official lego theme:
If I could afford to buy for more than one theme, I'd love to collect the agents sets. I'm sorry, I am a sucker for secret agents with sweet vehicles. ::P

2nd favorite theme to build in:
Hmm...I can't say I've really built in any other theme, though I have been wanting to try my hand at microspace recently.

2nd favorite theme to see others build in:
Oh, this one's easy. I love a good post-apoc moc. With the mecha and ruined cities and mismatched figs. Definitely a fave.
(NOTE: Pirates is a close second...third...what have you.)

God bless.
May the blessing of the Lord be upon you. <><

Thanks for your input guys :D .

Nooooooooooo! I mean, uh, er, lets move on shall we.

I think that pirates is my third but to be honest I like the imperial factions best in the pirate theme. Something about large red coat armies firing massive volleys at each other just seems right(a large part of why I'm buying Empire Total War). Indy is my main source for post apoc parts so I don't keep most of my Indy sets together for more than a day. I actually have a small town/train collection but I don't see it getting bigger any time soon,

Next fave theme.

Next in line for me is the Indianna Jones theme. It would have been Star Wars, but that just got too expensive. So SW was bumped to third.

After Castle, it would be City, but only certain sets - the more "realistic" ones. The fire station, police station, etc. are all a little too open and "not to scale" for my tastes, although that doesn't stop me from loving Castle (it's fantasy anyways). But Market Street, Cafe Corner - I just eat those sorts of sets up. And the more realistic vehicles are okay too.

After City, it would be Pirates. And for some reason I love Creator sets too - even the "Creative Building" ones that are just big boxes of bricks. I heart LEGO, what can I say.
I collect LEGO themes that start with "C." And Pirates. I call them "Corsairs."

I love Indiana Jones sets, they are also useful for castle MOCs.
Star wars also...
but I've already understood that we have to concentrate on one theme, otherwise it is too expensive and I also don't have enough space in my apartment.

How about...
"I am the very model of a medieval plastic general,
I've information ABS, construction brick, and Denerol;
The Denerol is there from all my late-night building marathons,
That turn my metacarpals into something surgeons work upon..."

And, getting back on topic my second favorites would be:
Indiana Jones (mainly b/c that's what I've been buying the most of recently) and Pirates (though that is what I'll start buying more of now that they're out again).

I really get bored with town, though I might buy a farm set just to get the cow.

And when I was a kid I was always going from castle to classic space and back.
I like LEGO Stuff. I have a blog called BricksABillion, a webcomic called The Brick Side, and I do some freelance artwork at Duckingham. And I am sad that there are only 24 hours in a day.
