Thanks a lot for taking the time to do this. :)

I've enjoyed reading all of the reviews. I certainly hope this contest comes back, I had so much fun making my entry.

And here's the next lot :)

Shadowviking - Cyberspace Regulator
Image
Very cool little entry. The chair and row of monitors are well thought out, and the idea is very funny. It's about as clean as you'd expect a cyberspace regulator's workspace to be.

74louloute - The royal speed Patrol
Image
First of all I have to say I love that brickbuilt horse, he really looks like he's running fast. The guy hanging off of the back of the cart brings that feeling of speed alive some more.
I also think this is a very funny idea with the hidden speed checkpoint, and those sideways built rocks look good that way, and that stumpy dead tree is great too :)

rgurskey - Wizardry Help Desk
Image
This is a very funny idea, I also like the look of the whole wizard study, it really looks like it could be some cramped room in the top of a high tower. All the panoply of sorcery on the shelves behind them add a bit of detail to not make the room look too boring.
The only thing I can think of though, is that it's not too clear from looking at it what the figs are doing. They're sort of just standing there.

Smiles - The Bucket Holder
Image
That's got to be the nastiest job out there indeed. His facial expression also brings that idea across to me.
The king's smirk is also great, I can just here him go "There, all done, clean that up will you?"
A funny little entry this one, not much more to say really.

Tavernello - dentist studio
Image
There we go, a nicely filled up workshop interior. Regarding the building, I think the inside of the roof could have used some more detail, like some wooden beams or maybe arches, but the detail of the whole rest of the building completely makes up for that, so no sweat there.
Those dentist tools and the guy's scared face are really hilarious, although that's pretty much how I always feel when going to the dentist ;)

deathdog1 - door-to-door salesman
Image
Funny stuff, I like that medieval vacuum cleaner! The terrain work, tree, rock and path are all nice touches to keep the surroundings from looking boring, and the way you can look "through" the side of the house to show that the back is open is nice too, reminds me of the old school Lego houses that were open in the back. Good job there :)

Knight of Honor - Medival Poacher
Can't find thumbnail
I like how the snake curls around to attack his assailant, but I would have liked to see some overall views of this, it's a little hard to see what's going on in the total MOC.
I do like how you made the surroundings look like a jungle.

Knight of Honor - Hitman
Can't find thumbnail
This is a very funny idea, the hitman as opposed to an assassin. I just think the surroundings could have been built a little bit better, but as I said, the funny idea of this makes up for that, so it's not that big a deal.

SirNadroj - Ye Olde Electrician
Image
Wow, this one is very well built, but we've gotten used to that from you by now. The tree, the fig's pose, the rocks (with the little root hanging out), the crane, those are all great details. Excellent job, and I was relieved to see no Fabuland vs Belville abonimations here :P

DNL - The Labourers of the Great Machine
Image
A very well built entry, full of great details. I like that brick pattern on the stone part of the back wall. I also like how those dark gray helmets get painted the new pearl silver, that's a nice touch.
Those wooden gears look awesome, I'll have to remember that idea.

Sorry for a bit of a delay, I've been busy.
But don't think I've forgotten! Here's the next bunch:

Sir Dano - The Troll Hunters
Image
Good work on the terrain there. I like the wing plated rocks with the subtle plant and mushroom to stop it from getting boring.
The fig posing is excellent, both the humans and the dead troll, but still it's somehow missing something. Maybe a brickbuilt tree or something would have made it look just that slight more impressive.

SlyOwl - Dwarven Rollercoaster
Image
Wow, what an awesome build! This MOC is absolutely outstanding in every aspect. The details are great, the fig posing is awesome, you've used a great number of excellent building techniques. The whole atmosphere in the cave and the outside area is marvelous!
That feeling of speed is also captured very well with the guy hanging off the back of the cart. This really is one of the best mine MOCs I've ever seen.
The only thing that slightly lets it down contest-wise is that I'm not really seeing a guy doing his job, I'm seeing lots of people, and although the action is great, I can't figure out who the focal point is, who is the one making it all happen.

MOCkingbird - Professional soccerplayer
Image
A very well built entry this is, that house is great, as is the surrounding terrain.
The theme is funny too, with the fan wanting an autograph, and the soccer player's outfit, I laughed out loud when I saw his soccer shoes and shorts with the peasant's torso. That's just great.
Did I mention I really love that house?

Heir of Black Falcon - Talk-show Host
Can't find thumbnail
Haha this looks very messy, just like one would expect from a medieval Jerry Springer show. I like how all the audience is armed, and the security guys come running in with a mace to break up the fight.
That makes for some good old fashioned bashing fun.

Erdbeereis - The Royal Applery
Image
Again, a very well built entry. The house is well made, but the surrounding terrain and everything else outside is what really caught my attention.
That guy that just had his head shot off really cracked me up too :D
What's too bad is that you had more than 3 photos in your contest folder and I don't think you read my PM about that, it's still in my outbox. So we judged only the first three photos of the set, and unfortunately they don't show any of the interior which is equally great.

puddleglum - Wyrmtamer's Lair
Image
Man this one is absolutely hilarious! :D I couldn't stop laughing for the longest time. Definitely one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen in a MOC.
The baby wyrm is so cute too with its single tooth.

Pulsy - Plumber did a bad job
Image
Hehe at first I thought hey wait, where is the guy doing the job? But then I realized the plumber had drowned and only had his arm sticking up out of the water, that's a great touch, and a great interpretation of the guy doing his job (badly).
I always enjoy SNOT water, and the junk floating on top is a nice addition.

Michal H./gearcs - Luftpost
Image
This is a very funny looking one, with the winged guy getting dragged on by owls on chains, who would have thought? It's also very very very well built, and everyone walking around is doing something that seems logical in a post office of this kind.
Great job on capturing that, and an excellent job on the build, that building, as well as the surrounding terrain, are absolutely impressive!

Grrr - Recycling sorter
Image
Another very funny idea! And well executed too, I couldn't help but laugh at the separated cups of different colours. Also, great job on the description, their message cracked me up!
I wish I could get some of these guys to sort my minifig accessories.

Thanks AC!

I found it fun trying to think of something out of the ordinary but something people would be familiar with. When the idea hit me I was decided. Glad you liked it. We had some great entries this year. :D

And here's the last of them, I do realize it took me a month and a half to get all of these up, sorry for the delay. There were just so many entries, and I pretend to have a life too, so yeah ;) enjoy these last few, if for some reason I forgot anyone, just ask here or send me a PM or whatever suits you.

And thanks again to everyone who entered for making this such a great contest!

forseti - ye olde disrepair shop
Image
Great entry! It’s well built, first thing I noticed was the angle in the middle building, good job there.
The idea of this is also hilarious, the way all these people and creatures are going about their business of taking things apart all around the workshop. I love the Rock Monster dropping the boulder on the bucket full of not-yet-disrepaired goods.

Jalkow - The Royal Iron Men
Image
Very funny stuff, Jalkow! I also like the details on the walls with the supports and the angled wall, it would have been a little bit better if the wall overlapped the floor so you don’t see the odd ends of the tiles, but that’s just a minor nitpick, it’s already great that it has an angled wall.
The whole idea with the fat guy is very amusing, and the food lying all around as his “tools” are a great touch.

CheeseBrick - Flower soother & Rogue Flower Bashers
Image
Cool idea making the forced perspective with the minifigs in the background and the miniland fig in the foreground, it really makes the guys in the background look further away.
Speaking of the guys in the background, their equipment and determination really cracks me up, and the big dude in front soothing the plants with his song is great, excellent job on the posing there.

Pulsy - The Mad Scientist
Image
Good details on this vignette, Pulsy. The only nitpick I can think of is that I’m not really seeing the scientist doing his job. But other than that all the panoply of mad science are there, so I can’t complain really. Good little vig!

Duckingham - the Bread Collector
Image
Very funny idea Duckingham, bring our your bread :D that made me laugh. I must also say the presentation on this is top-notch, you put an effort in and it paid off.

man at ye old well - construction workers
Image
When I saw the title of this I thought to myself, hmm, they already had workers doing construction in the middle ages. But man you surprised me when I saw it, that medieval bulldozer is just awesome!
The guy hiding behind the bush to blow up the tiny piece of rock also cracked me up. Great stuff :D

eti - The king's anachronism hunters
Image
This is awesome, the first thing I noticed were the facial expressions, they’re spot-on.
That robot is very cool and I love the guys burning down all the things that don’t belong in medieval times and throwing them onto the cart (which I must also add is very well built).
The whole thing looks a bit messy but I like that, so that’s definitely not a complaint. Great work!

Almost-late entries
Don’t freak out if you can’t find the following two entries in the entry thread, these two contestants’ Classic-Castle.com user accounts didn’t get approved until 6 hours after the contest deadline had expired, so they both found a locked thread and couldn’t post their entries.
They were both smart enough to see it coming though, when a few hours before the deadline their accounts hadn’t been activated yet, so they both sent me a link to their entries before the deadline. Since it’s not their fault they couldn’t post their stuff on time, and they did prove they had finished it on time, we accepted these two entries as well.

McZargald - Smackmason
Image
The idea of this is just great, Ye Olde Smacke :D Awesome!
I also like the angry dude walking away because he just got smack talk about his life’s work. The guy standing in line with the M8 is also a great touch, and I enjoy the shape of the base for this.

Koffiemoc - Web Hoster
Image
This entry is just absolutely awesome, the lighting and atmosphere in the photos are excellent, making for a great presentation. The details and building techniques used are great as well, and your medieval interpretation of a web hoster is very inventive!

Thanks for the review Aliencat! Despite not winning, and despite not getting my several other entry ideas finished, it did help me realize how much fun making a web comic was (since that's the main form I presented my MOC in). So, for those interested, just thought I'd put in a shameless plug for my new LEGO comic strip starting May 1. It's called The Brick Side and will be available at http://www.duckingham.com. I may post a few here in the appropriate thread to wet your appetite. :D
I like LEGO Stuff. I have a blog called BricksABillion, a webcomic called The Brick Side, and I do some freelance artwork at Duckingham. And I am sad that there are only 24 hours in a day.
