A Saracen, A Professional killer.

I based it of the computer game Knights of Honor. Thanks to Armothe for the Crusaders decal.

Aw, I was looking forward to seeing a cool-looking gun, but I guess I've been playing too much Age of Empires...
Anyways, he still looks great. Good job.

To be fair the first few centuries after they were formed they were bow and arrow not gun/firearms. You still see many armed with bows into the 16th. I think they do not start to use firearms until the mid to late 15th but the cross over takes decades if not longer. Age of Empires, while better than most games for historic info, is a bit off at times as you can see.

Looks pretty good Gecko. I thought they were originally a Turkish not Saracen group?

"Saracen" was a generic name that the European gave to all Muslims. Just as the Muslims called all Crusaders "Franks". :)

HK,

Fair enough. More a comment that only the turks have Janissaries while other 'saracen' groups have other names for their slave/servant-soldiers.
