Grandfather's Tale *Thread Updated 11/17/20*

Post by Formendacil »

So, in honour of today being my 5th year anniversary of joining Classic-Castle, I am officially releasing the first installments of what is intended to be a somewhat longer tale. I shall warn you now, though, that updates shall be irregular at best (namely whenever I feel like and have time--a rare combination).

Presenting, then, for lack of a better name: "Grandfather's Tale."

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Forme ... pic/02.jpg

And thence on to Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
Chapter 5
Chapter 6
Chapter 7
Chapter 8
Chapter 9
Chapter 10
Chapter 11
Chapter 12
Chapter 13
Chapter 14
Chapter 15

Unfortunately, that's as far as I've made it yet. By the by, when I say "chapter" what I really mean is "run of thematic scenes shot at the same time"... which does sort of work out to be a conventional chapter.

EDIT: November 17th, 2020

Chapters 16 *and* 17 are now online (and have been for a while...)--see this post of this thread for links and news.

Nice work. Just wished there was a bit more to read. The grandfather should hand out gags before starting.... :D

Bratty kids, interupting the story all the time. No wonder it's going to take so long to finish it.

This is really nice. I like the kid's comments. They remind me of trying to read to my four-year-old niece.

I am thoroughly enjoying this tale and the realism of the whole grandfather/young-grandchildren-who-don't-have-the-patience-to-sit-through-a-good-story dynamic. Since when do children ever sit quietly through a good story? Very nice, sir!

This story is great and well put together. :D
