Custom Sword

Post by man at ye old well »

Allthough I am mainly a purist, I enjoy doing some custom stuff here and there. After getting the farm set and having the sprue for the tools, I thought that I could make something of it. Here is the result. :)

Here it is with a minifig. Custom cape done by me. Oh, and thanks to Roaglaan for the amazing euro armour decal. Hope you like it. :)

The sword was made simply by cuttin up the sprue of this, gluing bits together and painting it.

Well, comments are welcome.

That's pretty cool !! It's neat to see someone use the scraps of pieces to make something that looks pretty decent. I'd suggest a cape from Lamanda, but that's just me  The decal by Roaglaan looks really good on the armor. Thanks for showing us.

I like this sword, neat use of the scrap plastic.

That is cool! I am not sure how you transformed that sprue into a sword but it does look very nice! Well done.

Thank you for the comments. Yes, I would love to use one of Amanda's capes, but I don't have any or will be getting some anytime soon. :( I was quite pleased with the results myself. To make it is a lot simpler then it looks, so if you want to make your own, try it, it's fun.

Pretty cool. Unlike most of the Lego swords, this one has a point on it, rather than a looped edge.

Great job with the sword! As everybody else has mentioned, that euro armor decal by Roaglaan really ties the figure together nicely.

Shoot me a PM sometime if you're still interested in a cape for your minifig. I've had a whole sheet of Black Falcon capes lying around for a while that I've been meaning to cut out and list - I should be able to hook you up with one. :)
