Re: Modification of bricks
Ahhhh....the ongoing question. This has plagued many a Lego builder, in many a Lego theme. It all comes down to personal choice. Some of us are purists, and will NEVER modifiy a brick, others of us, are happy to cut and glue and paint a brick to make it exactly how we want it.Clarkryang wrote:... modification of Lego bricks to expand their functionality?
Only if you are a Lego "Purist". Otherwise it is fine, just make sure it is not a rare or expensive part. For example I would never remove the print from a Forestwomen's torso (no matter how faded), but I would remove the print from a policeman's torso.Clarkryang wrote:Is it wrong to modify bricks?
I think that you should go for it. I am keen to see your next creation.Clarkryang wrote:It would really help me make my next creation much more realistic. Please let me know what you think because I want to get started building!

Re: Modification of bricks
Thankfully I've rarely had a need to modify parts over the years. The only time that comes to mind is when I modified this part by cutting off the end of it so that I could attach two parts together:
