Thief

Post by lefty »

I see this subforum is mostly for lego games... but really was the one lego castle game worth... any money? I don't think so.
Anyway the point of this thread is to ask if any of you castle builders have heard of or play the game thief? It's a stealth game where you basically sneak into castles and churches and manors and steal loot, but it also has an impressive overarching story with many unique characters.
I figure some of the forum goers may be interested because it takes place in a "medieval" setting, but with steampunk elements; so there will be huge sprawling castle levels with guards in armor and swords to avoid, but there's also electric lights, elevators, machinery and pipes all over the place. I notice the majority of creations here are based on historical facts, like real castle architecture and the like... but I'd be really interested to see some of the better builders would make after a few hours playing thief and drinking in its impressive atmosphere :D

The game is actually what led me here in a way. I've always like the castle sets, though I never really owned any (I was more of a star wars kind of guy) and just recently I wanted to make some thief-inspired settings for my minifigs to play in, but I realized I'm pretty crap at it. I went to brickshelf to browse the large and impressive MOCs and it led me here, and now I'm starting to get caught up in the castle craze... and also really sad that I've missed some of the better sets of the line :/

Does this have anything to do with lego? If not, it will probably get locked.

If you read it I'm sure you'd be able to tell how much it has to do with lego.

I really don't know what you are trying to get across. You ask if any of us have played the game, but you don't do a very good job explaining it to us. Like how do you be stealthy and sneaky if your opponent is watching your moves? And is the terrain made with all Lego? The game sounds neat but your post is just all over the place.

I can understand the point that the game led you to LEGO, which always good news - I've never played this game but I do know many games have led people to LEGO before.

That said, there's really no place to talk about video games in general here in CC - only LEGO games, sets, customs, stories, etc etc etc...

So I won't lock this thread for now, but will ask all to focus not on the game.
Knight Templar
n. pl. Knights Templars or Knights Templar

This forum is actually for anything related to Lego Castle Gaming, not just video games. Role plays, board games, whatever. So, yes, talking about medieval-style video game is off-topic here. You can talk about them in "Medieval Life" since we use that forum for things that inspire us to build. Make sense?

As for Thief, I've played the third one and enjoyed it. Someone recently recreated some of the characters as minifigs. If I remember where I saw them, I'll post the link here.
